Patent number: 6712229Abstract: The frame attachment system is a unitary-bodied frame attachment member being selectively and removably attachable to a vertical column member for attaching shelving brackets, and attachments of the like. The frame attachment system essentially includes three portions: a bracing portion, a grasping portion, and a slot portion. The grasping portion is substantially u-shaped for attachment around the vertical column member with the bracing portion being in perpendicular opposition to the grasping portion. The slot portion is proximate the bracing portion and includes a plurality of slots capable of receiving shelving brackets such that the insertion of a shelving bracket results in the bracket flushly resting against the vertical column member and thus limiting movement of the frame attachment member.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2001Date of Patent: March 30, 2004Assignee: Skyline Displays, Inc.Inventors: Mark Fritsche, Dan Berg, Jason Johnson

Patent number: 6659159Abstract: A screen mounting apparatus for mounting a graphic display screen for use with display stands or booths, such as those used in trade shows and other exhibitions. The apparatus is designed to receive, generally by adhesive affixation, a display graphics screen such that generally the entire length of one of the screen edges is affixed to the apparatus, with the length of the screen edge and the apparatus generally equaling that of the corresponding display frame segment. Additionally, the screen mounting apparatus includes an elastic portion which permits a limited degree of resilient movement when force is placed upon the screen at assembly and disassembly. The tension force required to mount the apparatus and the affixed screen to a display frame is thus distributed along the entire surface of the apparatus and screen, and not at isolated fastening points.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2001Date of Patent: December 9, 2003Assignee: Skyline Displays, Inc.Inventors: Mark Fritsche, Dan Berg, Jason Johnson

Publication number: 20030047292Abstract: The modular multi-configurable display has a series of frames of graphical screens and provides variable positioning for appurtenances. In a preferred embodiment, the screen frames are sequentially positioned in a serpentine arrangement. The display includes a plurality of vertical columns, and horizontal members, including at least one arcuate member, and at least one linear member. The columns are capable of fixedly removably receiving the horizontal arcuate and linear members at each end of the columns. Each frame assembly is removably stackable with another frame assembly such that the vertical span of the display is adjustable. Each member component can be attached at various positioning locations to a frame assembly such that a myriad of modular configuration combinations are available to an exhibitor.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2001Publication date: March 13, 2003Applicant: Skyline Displays, Inc.Inventors: Mark Fritsche, Dan Berg, Jason Johnson, Gordon Savoie

Patent number: 6149021Abstract: A portable display system having a plurality of truss members and a plurality of connection structures for interconnecting the plurality of truss members to form the display structure. Each of the plurality of truss members include at least a pair of brace members, each brace member having a pair of spaced apart, generally parallel frame tubular members rigidly and non-rotatably interconnected by a plurality of fixed wire members. Each tubular member includes a contiguous exterior surface, and each of said plurality of fixed wire members are secured to both contiguous exterior surfaces of the tubular members. A pair of pivoting wire member are each pivotally secured to both brace members, so that each of the plurality of truss members are capable of being placed in a deployed condition from a flattened condition by pivoting the first and second pivoting wire members relative to the first and second brace members.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1998Date of Patent: November 21, 2000Assignee: Skyline Displays, Inc.Inventor: Bryan J. Patent number: 5509502Abstract: An elevator apparatus for providing an elevated support structure. The apparatus is comprised of a base unit, a plurality of tower sections, and an elevating device. The tower sections may be individually inserted into the base unit where the elevating device operates to raise the base unit whereby an additional tower section may be inserted and connected to the previous tower section. The elevating device is then lowered to the just inserted tower section and repetition of the sequence affects an erection of the tower. Outrigger legs with pads extend from the base unit to provide vertical stability. Guy lines extend from the tower to the ends of the outrigger legs to a winch arrangement within the base unit permitting guy lines to remain taught during the raising or lowering of the tower. Further, ballast containers are provided at the base unit intermediate adjacent outrigger legs for providing additional stability against tip-over.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 1994Date of Patent: April 23, 1996Assignee: Skyline Displays, Inc.Inventor: Bryan J.
