    Abstract: An image capturing system may include a first image capturing apparatus, a second image capturing apparatus and a securing apparatus. When in use, the user can rotate the first image capturing apparatus and/or uses its APP interface to adjust the shooting angle. Meanwhile, the second image capturing apparatus is configured to control the securing apparatus to rotate based on the adjustment made on the first image capturing apparatus, until the desired image sent by the second image capturing apparatus is shown on the screen of the first image capturing apparatus. The user then presses the shutter in the APP of the first image capturing apparatus and the command is sent to the second image capturing apparatus to actually take the picture or video and pass it back to the first image capturing apparatus for the user to review.

    Abstract: A wireless communication system having a time synchronization mechanism is provided. The wireless communication system comprises a first receiver and a second receiver. The first receiver tracks a code phase data of a satellite to generate a synchronization data related to a sync phase position and a first receiver phase position corresponding to one of first receiver time pulses. The second receiver comprises a receiving unit, a tracking unit and a computing unit. The receiving unit receives the synchronization data from the first receiver through a network. The tracking unit tracks the code phase data of the satellite to obtain a second receiver phase position corresponding to one of second receiver time pulses. The computing unit performs a time synchronization process with the first receiver and the satellite according to the code phase data, the synchronization data and the second receiver phase position.

    Abstract: A signal receiver used in a satellite communication system is provided. The signal receiver comprises a first type code generator, a second type code generator, a composite code generator, a correlation module and a determining module. The first type code generator generates a first type code corresponding to a first type signal. The second type code generator generates a second type code corresponding to a second type signal and having a code length N-time longer than that of the first type code. The composite code generator generates a composite code by superimposing N successive first type codes on the second type code. The correlation module correlates the composite code with a cell of a received signal to generate correlation results. The determining module determines a type of the received signal according to correlation results of the composite code with the received signal.

    Abstract: In an apparatus of correcting a clock drift error, a receiver unit receives a first GNSS signal from a satellite. A Doppler correction unit obtains a first predicted frequency. A tracking unit can obtain a first tracked frequency. The satellite-positioning unit determines a clock offset based on a position fix. A computation unit calculates a first difference between the first predicted and tracked frequencies. When the receiver unit is turned off and then on for receiving a second GNSS signal from the satellite, the Doppler correction unit obtains a second predicted frequency, the tracking unit obtains a second tracked frequency, and the computation unit calculates a second difference between the second predicted and tracked frequencies. An error correction unit computes an estimated clock offset according to the clock offset, the first difference, and the second difference.

    Abstract: A global positioning system (GPS) receiver with extended 1-second hot start capability has an RF chip, a baseband chip, a battery and a LDO regulator. When the GPS receiver is turned on, a main supply voltage charges the battery to store backup power. Once the main supply voltage is turned off, the baseband starts a countdown period. During the countdown period, critical portion of the RF chip, the baseband chip and the regulator use the backup power to continue keeping time. If the GPS receiver is restarted during the countdown period, the GPS receiver has retained information to allow 1-second hot start and the GPS receiver generates position fix instantaneously.
