Patents Assigned to Skyworks Solution, Inc.
  • Patent number: 12593491
Abstract: Circuits, systems, devices, and methods related to transistors with Schottky barriers are discussed herein. For example, a method of fabricating a transistor can include forming a p-well or an n-well in a substrate and forming a gate for the transistor. The method can also include doping a region within the p-well or n-well with a concentration below a threshold and forming a conductor layer on the doped region.

  • Patent number: 10050694
Abstract: Diversity receiver front end system with post-amplifier filters. A receiving system can include a controller configured to selectively activate one or more of a plurality of paths between an input of a first multiplexer and an output of a second multiplexer. The receiving system can further include a plurality of amplifiers. Each one of the plurality of amplifiers can be disposed along a corresponding one of the plurality of paths and can be configured to amplify a signal received at the amplifier. The receiving system can include a first plurality of bandpass filters. Each one of the first plurality of bandpass filters can be disposed along a corresponding one of the plurality of paths at an output of a corresponding one of the plurality of amplifiers and can be configured to filter a signal received at the bandpass filter to a respective frequency band.

  • Patent number: 9530771
Abstract: Feedback and impedance circuits, devices and methods for broadband radio-frequency (RF) amplifiers. An RF amplifier architecture can include an amplifier having a first field-effect transistor (FET) and a second FET arranged in a cascode configuration. The gate of the first FET can be configured to receive an RF signal, the drain of the first FET can be coupled to the source of the second FET, and the drain of the second FET can be configured to output an amplified RF signal. The RF amplifier architecture can further include a first feedback circuit implemented between the drain of the second FET and the gate of the second FET to provide gain control, and a second feedback circuit implemented between the drain of the second FET and the gate of the first FET to provide an increase in a frequency range having a desirable range of gain.

  • Publication number: 20120137514
Abstract: According to one exemplary embodiment, an overmolded package includes a component situated on a substrate. The overmolded package further includes an overmold situated over the component and the substrate. The overmolded package further includes a wirebond cage situated over the substrate and in the overmold, where the wirebond cage surrounds the component, and where the wirebond cage includes a number of wirebonds. The wirebond cage forms an EMI shield around the component. According to this exemplary embodiment, the overmolded package further includes a conductive layer situated on a top surface of the overmold and connected to the wirebond cage, where the conductive layer forms an EMI shield over the component.

  • Patent number: 6771720
Abstract: A system is provided for controlling amplification in a receiver. The receiver amplifies a signal in accordance with a controlled gain to enhance the reliability of demodulating the received signal. A lower frequency signal is derived by down-converting the received signal. The derived lower frequency signal is converted into a digital baseband signal. A compensatory direct current offset is determined by evaluation of one of trailing symbols and a defined sequence of a data packet of the received signal. A compensatory direct current offset is manipulated with respect to a digital baseband signal to compensate for an unwanted direct current offset of the digital baseband signal, indicative of a frequency difference between the received signal and the transmitted signal.
