Abstract: Methods of manufacturing an acoustic wave device are disclosed. An anti-reflection layer can be formed over a conductive layer that is over a piezoelectric layer. The conductive layer can include aluminum, for example. The anti-reflection layer can remain distinct from the conductive layer after a heating process. A photolithography process can pattern an interdigital transducer of the acoustic wave device from one or more interdigital transducer electrode layers that include the conductive layer. The anti-reflection layer can reduce reflection from the conductive layer during the photolithography process.
Abstract: A differential circulator comprises first and second magnets, a ground plane, a first three-port junction conductor disposed between the first magnet and the ground plane, and a second three-port junction conductor disposed between the second magnet and the ground plane. The first three-port junction conductor and the second three-port junction conductor are in the same magnetic circuit including the first and second magnets to provide substantially same pass characteristics to radio frequency signals passing through the first three-port junction conductor and the second three-port junction conductor.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for envelope alignment calibration in radio frequency (RF) systems are provided. In certain embodiments, calibration is performed by providing an envelope signal that is substantially triangular along an envelope path, and by providing an RF signal to a power amplifier along an RF signal path. Additionally, an output of the power amplifier is observed to generate an observation signal using an observation receiver. The observation signal includes a first peak and a second peak, and a delay between the envelope signal and the RF signal is controlled based on relative size of the peaks of the observation signal to one another.

Abstract: An acoustic wave resonator is disclosed. Abstract: The fabrication of field-effect transistor (FET) devices is described herein where the FET devices include one or more body contacts implemented between source, gate, drain (S/G/D) assemblies to improve the influence of a voltage applied at the body contact on the S/G/D assemblies. The FET devices can include source fingers and drain fingers interleaved with gate fingers. The source and drain fingers of a first S/G/D assembly can be electrically connected to the source and drain fingers of a second S/G/D assembly. The source fingers and the drain fingers can be arranged in alternating rows.

Abstract: A piezoelectric microelectromechanical systems microphone can be mounted on a printed circuit board. The microphone can include a substrate with an opening between a bottom end of the substrate and a top end of the substrate. The microphone can include a single piezoelectric film layer disposed over the top end of the substrate and defining a diaphragm structure, the single piezoelectric film layer having substantially zero residual stress and formed from a piezoelectric wafer. The microphone can include one or more electrodes disposed over the diaphragm structure. The diaphragm structure is configured to deflect when subjected to sound pressure via the opening in the substrate.
Abstract: A semiconductor die includes a substrate layer, one or more metal layers disposed over the substrate layer, and a pair of polyimide layers disposed over the substrate so that they define an interface therebetween. One or both of the pair of polyimide layers have a trench that separates the interface from the one or more metal layers. The trench can be formed by etching the polyimide layer(s). A topcoat insulation layer is disposed over the one or more metal layers and polyimide layers. The topcoat insulation layer is impervious to moisture and the trench inhibits migration of moisture along the interface to the one or more metal layers, thereby preventing metal migration from the one or more metal layers along the interface.
Abstract: In some embodiments, a power amplification system can comprise a current source, an input switch configured to alternatively feed current from the current source to a high-power circuit path and a low-power circuit path, and a band switch including a switch arm for switching between a plurality of bands. Each of the high-power circuit path and the low-power circuit path can be connected to the switch arm.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are ceramic materials, such as bismuth substituted garnets, which can have high curie temperatures and high dielectric constants. In certain implementations, indium can be incorporated into the ceramic to improve certain properties and to avoid calcium compensation. The ceramic materials disclosed herein can be particular advantageous for below resonance applications.

Abstract: A method for measuring a received signal includes receiving a differential pair of signals by a differential pair of input nodes of a differential circuit. The method includes attempting to match a first current through a first node of the differential circuit corresponding to the differential pair of signals to a second current through a second node of the differential circuit corresponding to a feedback signal. The method includes generating an output measurement signal based on the first current and the second current. The method includes, during the second interval, compensating for a voltage drop caused by providing the boosted output current. The first output current may be provided in a first mode of operation. The boosted output current and voltage drop compensation may be provided in a boosted mode of operation.
