Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an improved group-based communication system, apparatus, method, and computer program products for managing a concentration mode associated with a group-based communication application. Specifically, embodiments are provided for setting (such as by activating and/or deactivating, as appropriate) a concentration mode associated with the group-based communication application to reflect a concentration mode status. In some embodiments, the concentration mode status is set to modify a rendering of at least one user interface associated with the group-based communication application.

Abstract: Media, methods, and systems are disclosed for optimizing performance of a running application in connection with a group-based communication system. Log data is collected regarding prior metrics for applications that have encountered performance events. Application state information is monitored and a machine-learning model mapping application metrics to performance outcomes predicts whether the running application will encounter a performance event. The machine-learning model mapping application metrics to performance outcomes is trained based on the collected logs. Based on whether a degradation outcome will be impactful, an application performance parameter may be degraded.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for managing trigger visibility within a group-based communication system where visibility to a trigger may be determined by one or more trigger visibility parameters including a user parameter associated with one or more users and a resource parameter associated with a specific resource or context within the group-based communication system. If a trigger is determined to be visible, based on the trigger visibility parameters, the trigger is included within the group-based communication system such that the trigger and a corresponding workflow are accessible.

Abstract: Media, methods, and systems are disclosed for hosting an event-based application. Application instructions corresponding to processing steps to be performed in response to particular events are received from a development environment. The events are associated with a group-based communication channel. An application comprising computer-executable instructions is generated based on the application instructions and metadata associated with the events. In response to detecting one or more of the events, execution of the computer-executable instructions is triggered. A response is received corresponding to output from applying the processing steps to the events. A message is posted into the respective communication channel corresponding to the response.

Abstract: The Messaging Search and Management Apparatuses, Methods and Systems (“MSM”) transforms message, ranking request inputs via MSM components into work graphs, ML structure input data, ML structure, ranking response outputs. A work graph generation request that includes group level access control data may be obtained. A set of metadata access control carrying messages, a set of users, a set of channels, and a set of topics with access control data corresponding to the group level access control data may be determined. A user priority score for each of the other users, a channel priority score for each of the channels, and a topic priority score for each of the topics, from the perspective of each user, may be calculated. A work graph data structure may be generated that includes, for each user, data regarding the calculated user priority scores, channel priority scores, and topic priority scores.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a group-based communication system that is configured to more efficiently manage resource sharing requests. In particular, in some embodiments, the group-based communication system is configured to enable admin users to use an external service, such as an external approval provisioning service, that is separate and distinct from the group-based communication system to manage group-based communication resource sharing requests. Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to an improved group-based communication apparatus that is configured to efficiently manage channel title associated with group-based communication channels in a group-based communication system. The group-based communication apparatus is configured to determine and recommend channel title suggestions in association with the creation or renaming of group-based communication channels. The recommended channel title suggestions are determined based at least in part on a group-defined format protocol. The group-based communication apparatus also may be configured to utilize other data analytics (e.g., user profile data, group channel data, channel title data, channel title count data, channel title recency data, channel activity data, and/or the like) to inform the determination of recommended channel title suggestions.

Abstract: Systems are disclosed for embedding group-based communication system content into an integrated application. A request for interactive embeddable content includes a unique identifier and an authentication token associated with a user of an integrated application. If the authentication token is valid, authorization information is provided to the integrated application. An interaction with the embeddable content is received from the user, and the group-based communication system is updated based on the interaction.

Abstract: Agnostic domain communication via a user interface of a communication platform is described. A user interface associated with the communication platform can be presented via a client, wherein an instance of a first workspace of the communication platform that is associated with a first domain is presented via the user interface. A request to access a second workspace of the communication platform that is associated with a second domain that is different from the first domain can be received. A trust network is defined for each user, and annotations by any member of a first user's trust network are made visible to the first user during search and/or browsing of the corpus. Users can also limit searches to content annotated by members of their trust networks or by members of a community selected by the user.

Abstract: Media, methods, and systems are disclosed for progressively instantiating workspaces for a group-based communication system. A request is received to load group-based communication system workspaces and begin receiving real-time events. The workspaces are classified into a plurality of priority and dormant workspaces. The priority workspaces are instantiated, and real-time events associated with the priority workspaces are transmitted to a group-based communication system. Real-time events are detected that trigger instantiation of dormant workspaces, and associated dormant workspaces added to the set of priority workspaces.

Abstract: Differentiated message presentation in a communication platform is described. In an example, a message to be posted to the communication platform can be received, wherein the communication platform is associated with a plurality of users that are permissioned to access content associated with the communication platform. In an example, a first user profile of a first user of the plurality of users can be associated with a first characteristic of the first user and a second user profile of a second user of the plurality of users can be associated with a second characteristic. Techniques described herein enable differentiated presentation of the message, in respective user interfaces of the communication platform, based at least in part on the first characteristic and the second characteristic.

Abstract: Media, method, and system for providing encryption key management for international data residency. Organizations using a group-based communication system can designate a particular geopolitical area where that organization's data can be stored and another geopolitical area (which may be the same or different) where encryption keys used to encrypt and decrypt that data should be stored. Users of that organization can post message or access messages previously posted on the group-based communication system from any geopolitical area, causing the system to automatically store and retrieve messages and encryption keys from the appropriate regions to allow the users to transparently access the group-based communication system while maintaining security and data residency requirements.
