Abstract: A frame for a field monitor includes a front panel having a central opening, and a rear panel attached to the front panel in adjacent, spaced-apart relationship to define a receptacle for receiving and supporting a field monitor therein. The receptacle includes a substantially open periphery which provides access to cable ports and other controls on the monitor. The rear panel includes opposite first and second sides and a plurality of legs extending outwardly from the first side. Each leg is attached to the front panel so as to maintain the front and rear panels in adjacent, spaced-apart relationship. The rear panel and plurality of legs extending outwardly therefrom are a single, unitary body of material.

Abstract: A cable port protection apparatus includes a frame that is configured to be secured to a housing of an electronic device, and a cable retention mechanism attached to the frame that is configured to prevent unintentional removal of a cable from a cable port of the electronic device. The cable retention mechanism includes a pair of spaced-apart arms extending outwardly from the frame to define a cable receiving space. A gate is operably associated with the spaced-apart arms and is movable by a user between open and closed positions. When in an open position, a cable can be inserted by a user through the cable receiving space and connected to a cable port. When in a closed position, the cable is prevented by the gate from becoming disconnected from the cable port and from exerting potentially damaging forces on the cable port.

Each support member has a flange on a first end thereof for being receivably engaged in a recess defined in the panel. A cover is slideably received by the plurality of elongate support members for shielding indirect light from the display panel.

Abstract: A viewfinder employing 3-LCD technology is described which employs a dichroic prism and provides full high definition resolution with a near-to-eye display. Video from digital cinema or digital broadcast cameras, as well as, playback of recorded high definition video is supported with a viewfinder no larger than 8 inches by 4 inches by 4 inches or even smaller. A telecentric lens system may be arranged so that monochrome optical modulators or LCDs to modulate red, green and blue video, respectively, are arranged at a focal point of this lens system.

Abstract: A shade assembly for a display panel is provided. The shade assembly includes a frame having a plurality of elongate support members. Each support member has a flange on a first end thereof for being receivably engaged in a recess defined in the panel.
