Abstract: An interaction system is described, which can reside on a cellular phone, a personal data assistant (PDA), a laptop computer, or any general purpose computing device. The interaction system provides a greatly simplified user interface for communication with interactive service systems. The interaction system builds the user interface by interpreting an associated profile that enables a user to access the interactive service system. The entire menu system of the interactive service system is presented to the user in a simple and easy to navigate set of menus, user input prompts and audible outputs of requested user information and confirmations. The interaction system saves time and minimizes user entry errors. The system leverages existing interactive service systems while taking full advantage of computing device features.

  • Publication number: 20080305815
Abstract: A system and method for interacting with an interactive communication system include processing a profile associated with an interactive communication system; generating a user interface based on the processing of the profile to solicit a user response correlating to a response required by the interactive communication system; receiving the user response via the user interface; updating the user interface using the profile based on the user response; and sending a signal to the interactive communication system based on one or more user responses.

  • Patent number: 6192142
Abstract: The invention provides a method and device for tokenless authorization of a stored value transaction between a payor and a payee using an electronic identicator and at least one payor bid biometric sample, said method comprising the steps of registering with the electronic identicator at least one payor registration biometric sample, and at least one payor stored value account. During a payee registration step, the payee registers a payee identification data with the electronic identicator. In a transaction formation step, an electronic financial transaction is formed between the payor and the payee, which includes payee bid identification data, a transaction amount, and at least one payor bid biometric sample. The bid biometric sample is obtained from the payor's person. In at least one transmission step, the payee bid identification data, the transaction amount, and payor bid biometric sample are electronically forwarded to the electronic identicator.

  • Patent number: 6131464
Abstract: The invention discloses a biometric input apparatus for obtaining a high quality image of the finger of a user. The biometric input apparatus has a finger image scanner which in turn has a contact surface where the user places their finger upon prior to scanning, means for obtaining an electronic image of the finger of the user that is placed on the contact surface, and a pressure sensor for detecting the amount of pressure that is applied by the finger of the user to the contact surface. In a preferred embodiment, the finger image scanner also has a logic device that measures the amount of pressure exerted by the finger of the user and compares said pressure to a predetermined threshold pressure value. In a most preferred embodiment the improved finger image scanner further has a feedback loop, wherein the logic device prompts the user to increase or decrease the pressure applied to the contact surface.

  • Patent number: 6012039
Abstract: The method of the invention includes a tokenless authorization of a reward transaction between an issuer and a recipient using an electronic identicator and at least one recipient bid biometric sample, the method comprising the following steps. A recipient registration step, wherein a recipient registers with an electronic identicator at least one registration biometric sample. An issuer registration step, wherein the issuer registers identification data with the electronic identicator. During a transaction formation step, wherein an electronic reward transaction is formed between the issuer and the recipient, comprising issuer bid identification data, transaction data, and at least one recipient bid biometric sample, the bid biometric sample is obtained from the issuer's person. In at least one transmission step, the issuer bid identification data, the transaction data, and recipient bid biometric sample are electronically forwarded to the electronic identicator.

  • Patent number: 5982914
Abstract: A method of identifying an individual from examination of their natural physical characteristics is shown. The method comprises obtaining from an individual during a registration process, a fingerprint image having at least one registration pore and at least one registration macrofeature; wherein registration pore data is derived from the registration pores, and registration macrofeature data is derived from the registration macrofeatures. In a bid step, a fingerprint image having at least one bid pore and at least one bid macrofeature is obtained; wherein bid pore data is derived from the bid pores and bid macrofeature data is derived from the bid macrofeatures. Bid associated data is constructed from associating the bid pore data with the bid macrofeature data, and constructing registration associated data derived from associating the registration pore data with the registration macrofeature data.
