Abstract: A housing for a telephonic electronic component, such as a telephone headset amplifier, adapted to be positioned in supporting relation beneath a standard, desktop telephone. The housing generally includes a base unit that sits flush on a desktop, and an upper unit that is positioned in covering relation to the base unit, with an enclosed cavity being defined between the base and upper units. The upper unit includes an inclined, upwardly facing surface on which a telephone may be positioned, and a control panel extending across the entire width of the unit's leading edge. The control panel extends upwardly and outwardly from the upwardly facing surface, thereby defining a lip across the interface between the surface and control panel. The lip serves as an abutment which prevents the telephone from sliding off of the unit.
