Abstract: A gas piston according to various aspects of the present technology comprises a helical groove disposed along an exterior surface. The helical groove may comprise curved edges at transitions between a crest and root of the helical groove. The helical groove allows for easier movement of the gas piston within its operating cylinder, provides enhanced resistance to particulate build up, and improves firing accuracy.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for flash suppression according to various aspects of the present technology may comprise a body that is configured to be selectively coupled to a firearm. The body may be formed with curved and or arcing protrusions extending longitudinally along the body. Each protrusion is separated from another protrusion by a gap configured to dissipate gases and unburned materials exiting the barrel of the firearm.
Abstract: A baffle for use in a firearm sound suppressor is provided. The baffle defines a central bore extending from a first face of the baffle to a second face and sized to allow a projectile fired from a firearm to freely pass along a longitudinal axis of the baffle. A plurality of grooves are defined in the first face and a plurality of channels are defined in the second face. Each groove begins adjacent to or near the peripheral wall and extends from the first face towards the second face and the central bore along a groove axis and each channel begins adjacent to or near the peripheral wall and extends s from the second face towards the first face and the central bore along a channel axis. Each groove of the first face can be substantially aligned with a channel of the second face. The baffle can be one of a plurality of baffles in a baffle stack.
