Abstract: A cabinet for hand-held hair salon utensils having spaced side walls, a top panel mounted for movement about a horizontal axis adjacent a rear end of the top panel between a lower closed position and a raised open position, and a front panel mounted for movement about a horizontal axis adjacent a lower end of the front panel. A utensil support panel is mounted on the top panel with a forward end of the utensil support panel spaced below the top panel and a linkage is arranged to move the upper end of the front panel forwardly to an open position in response to movement of the top panel to the raised position. The utensil support panel has a plurality of openings for receiving ends of hair salon utensils with the utensil handles above the support panel.

Abstract: A shampoo chair and bowl apparatus in which the shampoo bowl is mounted with a neck rest at a fixed elevation, and a shampoo chair is mounted for adjustment along a linear guide path inclined upwardly and rearwardly toward the shampoo bowl between a lower and an upper position. The chair frame and guide are arranged to support and guide the chair during movement along the guide path with the back rest extending upwardly and rearwardly from the seat generally parallel to the guide path toward the neck rest on the shampoo bowl. Seat adjustment apparatus is provided for stopping the chair in a selected adjusted position between the upper and lower positions.

Abstract: A quick connect fluid coupling having a male member and a female member with radially resilient latch fingers for engaging the male coupling member. A locking sleeve having a continuous ring portion and a plurality of circumferentially spaced radially resilient fingers is movable from a position in which the ring portion surrounds the fingers on the female member to radially confine the same, and a release position in which the ring portion is spaced axially from the free ends of the fingers on the female member. Latch means are provided for releasably latching the locking sleeve in its locking position and in its release position.

Abstract: A power operated chair lift mechanism including long links pivotally connected at one end to a horizontally movable follower block and pivotally connected at the other end to a vertically movable chair support, and short links pivotally connected at one end intermediate the ends of the long links and at the other end to the base to form an isosceles linkage for raising and lowering the chair in response to horizontal movement of the follower block. Auxiliary links are connected to a second follower block and to vertical guideways in the chair support and are pivotally connected intermediate their ends to the short links to provide a second isosceles linkage for maintaining the chair support in a fixed attitude during raising and lowering of the chair. The chair can be rotated about an upright axis in all vertically adjusted positions.
