Abstract: A foldable bag comprises a front sheet and a back sheet which are circumferentially joined to each other. The bag is disposed in a folded condition in which the bag has a reversed T-shape including a bottom and an upward portion extending upwardly from the bottom. In the folded condition of the bag, upward portion side edges are inwardly creased between the front sheet and the back sheet such that they face to each other. At the bottom, an inner bottom edge portion extends substantially within a plane of the upward portion and each of outer bottom edge portions extend substantially parallel above the inner bottom edge portion.
Abstract: The invention relates to a foldable bag that can be unfolded from an essentially flat initial state into an unfolded final state, provided with at least a first, a second and a third sheet for forming, respectively, a first, a second and a third wall of the foldable bag. The first sheet is joined to the second sheet via the third sheet, which third sheet in the initial state is folded along a fold line, wherein the fold line in the initial state is between the first and the second sheet. The foldable bag furthermore has an opening in the first sheet. The fold line of the third sheet in the initial state extends underneath the opening to form a channel between the first and second sheet past the opening. The invention furthermore relates to a combination of a container and empty bag as well as method for the use thereof, wherein the bag is fixed to the peripheral wall of the container by means of a first and a second fixing.
Abstract: The invention relates to a butterfly valve, comprising a passageway, a valve seat enclosing the passageway, a rotatable valve shaft which has an axis of rotation spaced from a plane through the valve seat, a valve plate member fixed to the valve shaft and being located in the passageway, and seal enclosing the valve plate member. The valve plate member has an open position and a closed position. At least in a plane through the seal in the open position, the width of the passageway adjacent to the valve seat as viewed from the valve seat in the direction of the axis of rotation is larger than the width of the passageway at the valve seat. Due to this configuration leakage via the seal in the closed position is avoided, because of minimal deformation of the seal in the open position.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a foldable bag for use in a bag-in-box assembly is described. The foldable bag being manufactured according to this method has a folded condition in which it includes at least an inwardly creased bag portion in a longitudinal direction thereof. Furthermore, the bag includes a bottom edge and a top edge opposite to each other in a longitudinal direction of the bag. The inwardly creased bag portion has a first closed end and a second closed end opposite to each other in the longitudinal direction of it. The first and/or second closed end of the inwardly creased bag portion is a free end. The bag according to the invention has an improved unfolding process during filling it, and has such a configuration that it does not cause material stress in certain welded seams such as in known bags.
