  • Patent number: 11677766
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, instructions, and media are described for generating suggestions for connections between accounts in a social media system. One embodiment involves storing connection graph information for a plurality of user accounts, and identifying, by one or more processors of the device, a first set of connection suggestions based on a first set of suggestion metrics. A second set of connection suggestions is then identified based on a second set of suggestion metrics, wherein the second set of connection suggestions and the second set of suggestion metrics are configured to obscure the first set of connection suggestions, and a set of suggested connections is generated based on the first set of connection suggestions and the second set of connection suggestions. The set of connection suggestions is then communicated to a client device method associated with the first account.

  • Patent number: 11676412
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are presented for segmenting an image of a video stream with a client device by receiving one or more images depicting an object of interest and determining pixels within the one or more images corresponding to the object of interest. The systems, devices, and methods identify a position of a portion of the object of interest and determine a direction for the portion of the object of interest. Based on the direction of the portion of the object of interest, a histogram threshold is dynamically modified for identifying pixels as corresponding to the portion of the object of interest. The portion of the object of interest is replaced with a graphical interface element aligned with the direction of the portion of the object of interest.

  • Patent number: 11676381
Abstract: A mobile device can generate real-time complex visual image effects using asynchronous processing pipeline. A first pipeline applies a complex image process, such as a neural network, to keyframes of a live image sequence. A second pipeline generates flow maps that describe feature transformations in the image sequence. The flow maps can be used to process non-keyframes on the fly. The processed keyframes and non-keyframes can be used to display a complex visual effect on the mobile device in real-time or near real-time.

  • Patent number: 11676199
Abstract: Method of generating customizable avatar outfits and accessories starts with a processor receiving a first identification information associated with a first article of clothing for sale on a first third-party server. The processor generates an outfit update interface comprising an avatar associated with a user of a client device and a first selectable item corresponding to the first article of clothing. The processor receives a selection from the client device of the first selectable item. The processor modifies the avatar to generate a modified avatar that is wearing an avatar outfit that comprises a first item that resembles the first article of clothing. The processor then causes the modified avatar to be displayed on a display screen of the client device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11675217
Abstract: Eyewear having a light array and vibration sensors for indicating to a user the direction and distance of an object relative to the eyewear to help a user understand and avoid objects. To compensate for partial blindness, the front portion of the eyewear frame may include the light array, where one or more lights of the light array is illuminated to indicate a corresponding direction of a proximate object. The relative brightness of the one or more lights indicates how close the object is, where brighter light(s) indicates a close object. To compensate for more severe partial blindness or complete blindness, the eyewear has haptics, such as a plurality of vibration devices on the front portion of the eyewear, such as in the bridge, which selectively vibrate to indicate a direction of the object. The stronger the vibration, the closer the object.

  • Patent number: 11670267
Abstract: Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for playing audio sounds, such as music, on a portable electronic device using a digital color image of a note matrix on a map. A computer vision engine, in an example implementation, includes a mapping module, a color detection module, and a music playback module. The camera captures a color image of the map, including a marker and a note matrix. Based on the color image, the computer vision engine detects a token color value associated with each field. Each token color value is associated with a sound sample from a specific musical instrument. A global state map is stored in memory, including the token color value and location of each field in the note matrix. The music playback module, for each column, in order, plays the notes associated with one or more the rows, using the corresponding sound sample, according to the global state map.

  • Patent number: 11670012
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for encoding information in a graphic image. The information may be encoded so as to have a visual appearance that adopts a particular style, so that the encoded information is visually pleasing in the environment in which it is displayed. An encoder and decoder are trained during an integrated training process, where the encoder is tuned to minimize a loss when its encoded images are decoded. Similarly, the decoder is also trained to minimize loss when decoding the encoded images. Both the encoder and decoder may utilize a convolutional neural network in some aspects to analyze data and/or images. Once data is encoded, a style from a sample image is transferred to the encoded data. When decoding, the decoder may largely ignore the style aspects of the encoded data and decode based on a content portion of the data.

  • Patent number: 11671572
Abstract: A virtual wave creation system comprises an eyewear device that includes a frame, a temple connected to a lateral side of the frame, and a depth-capturing camera. Execution of programming by a processor configures the virtual wave creation system to generate, for each of multiple initial depth images, a respective wave image by applying a transformation function that is responsive to a selected input parameter to the initial three-dimensional coordinates. The virtual wave creation system creates a warped wave video including a sequence of the generated warped wave images. The virtual wave creation system presents, via an image display, the warped wave video.

  • Patent number: 11670026
Abstract: A server machine modifies an augmented reality (AR) object in response to fulfillment of a condition. The machine provides, to a user device, object data that defines the AR object. The object data specifies a physical geolocation of the AR object, a presentation attribute of the AR object, a conditional modification program, and a trigger condition for execution of the conditional modification program. The object data causes the user device to present the AR object with a first appearance, located at the physical geolocation. The machine detects fulfillment of the trigger condition, and in response, the machine executes the conditional modification program. This modifies the object data by modifying the presentation attribute. The machine provides, to the user device, the modified object data, which causes the user device to present the AR object with a second appearance based on the modified presentation attribute.
