The system, medical devices, and methods are designed to provide a surgeon the ability to add a screw connector, or screw head such as a tulip, to pre-existing implanted bone, such as pedicle, facet, lateral mass, etc., screw system without having to remove the previously implanted screws and/or rods already existing in a patient.

Abstract: A retractor, preferably a nerve root retractor, comprising three components: a base portion, an arm portion, and an anatomical structure retractor portion. The nerve retractor is designed to eliminate the requirement of having a person hold the retractor tool during a surgical procedure. The nerve retractor can be secured to a portion of the anatomical structure involved with, or near the surgical procedure site, and utilizes an actuating device which allows the user to manipulate the angle of orientation of the arm portion or anatomical structure retractor portion. The anatomical structure retractor may comprise a modular anatomical structure engaging member/head, allowing the surgeon to use multiple or differently configured structure engaging members/heads during a procedure as needed.

The tape dispensing device may also include one or more tape holder sliders, which may move simultaneously in a single direction. The tape dispensing device may also include a tape dispenser blade having a cutting edge and configured to be moveable from a first position to at least one second position and to rotate to a position along the cutting edge at different angles.
