Patent number: 6226455Abstract: A device for producing printed images of a subject is described. The device includes a housing containing an imaging apparatus, and a frame carrying a hood configured to exclude outside light from illuminating a subject. The frame is rotationally spring loaded and counterbalanced on the housing, allowing the frame to be pulled downward without pulling the housing over onto the subject. The hood is configured to indirectly illuminate the subject by reflecting light onto the subject. The imaging apparatus includes a camera configured to take subject image data (i.e., a picture of the subject), a device to provide component-image data (i.e., background, foreground or framing images) to be synthesized with the picture of the subject, a device to synthesize the picture with the component-images, and a printer to print the resulting synthesized images. A cassette unit that contains a plurality of read-only memory chips is removably plugged into the device.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1998Date of Patent: May 1, 2001Assignee: SNK CorporationInventors: Kouichi Ishimoto, Hiroaki Kimura, Kenta Fujimoto, Hamao Horiguchi, Shigekazu Matsumoto, Kazukuni Hiraoka

Patent number: 6055000Abstract: An image storage memory apparatus comprises a first memory for separating an image of M by N pixels into a plurality of blocks, generating H pieces of sets making coded notation of the mutually different m by n kinds of colors into each set component, and memorizing H pieces of sets without a set of the above selected set component among the H pieces of sets in the other set component, a second index for having a first index identifying one of the above set, and identifying each set component of the set identified by the first index, a second memory for combining the first and second index into a second set, the second set comprising (M by N)/(m by n), an order of m by n pieces of the second set components equivalent to the second index of the second set comprising a set of (M+N)/(m+n) pieces of sets memorized corresponding to the order of pixels in a raster scanning in the block, and a controller for connecting to the first and second memories, identifying the coded notation of each color in each pixel of MType: GrantFiled: May 28, 1998Date of Patent: April 25, 2000Assignee: SNK CorporationInventor: Satoshi Okada

Patent number: 5940068Abstract: The character numbers of the characters of line sprites and the color palette numbers are specified in the regions C.sub.1,0, C.sub.1,1 C.sub.1,2, . . . C.sub.1,31. The data for specifying display position of the lines and shrinkage are stored in the regions L.sub.1, L.sub.2 . . . to L.sub.380. also, the number of active characters to be displayed on the display screen is specified in the region L.sub.1, L.sub.2, . . . to L.sub.380. Since only one display position is specified to each of the line sprites, capacity of the memory can be decreased, and control of the display can be done easily. Also, since the number of active characters can be specified in line sprite units, operation for changing the display and other operations can be executed easily with sufficient flexibility.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1996Date of Patent: August 17, 1999Assignee: SNK CorporationInventors: Yoshihiko Hasegawa, Takashi Yamatani

Patent number: 5904869Abstract: An automatic laser beam machining apparatus with a sensor that detects whether a user slots a fare (e.g. coins) for starting laser beam machining of an article. The apparatus includes a video camera that can take an image (such as the face of a user) and reproduce it by laser machining upon an article. The article is removed from a stack of the articles and automatically properly positioned for laser machining with safety and ease. A mark is provided on the article for detecting the machining condition (e.g. the material or a shape of the article) by using a sensor.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1997Date of Patent: May 18, 1999Assignee: SNK CorporationInventors: Shinya Saito, Yoshihiko Kodo, Kazukuni Hiraoka, Shigeru Minami, Hamao Horiguchi, Shin Tsuyuzaki, Kouichi Ishimoto, Yoshinori Matsumoto

Patent number: 5643083Abstract: The object is to provide game operation data control device capable of knowing accurate operation state of game programs. Game start signal output means 5, upon receiving a throw-in signal from a throw-in sensor 3 and a game start signal from a game start selection button 4, outputs a game start enabling signal. Game program control means 7, upon receiving the signal, starts the game program. Game state detection means 9, makes access to the game program control means 7 to detect current game state data. Calculation means 11, based on time data from time measuring means 13 and the game state data, calculates game program continuation time, and further calculates average game time of the game program.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 1995Date of Patent: July 1, 1997Assignee: SNK CorporationInventor: Yoshihiko Hasegawa
