Abstract: A monetization system to share in the revenue generated from advertisements associated with a social application generated by a user of a social network service. When another user of the social network service requests to access the social application, the monetization system responds to the request with an instance of the application that includes one or more advertisements. The monetization system determines an amount payable to the creator of the application based on the display of the advertisements and/or any actions taken with respect to a displayed advertisement.
