Abstract: A cam-following roller is brought by a low-power electromagnet into contact with a cam carried by a driving pulley. A second roller which is coaxial with the follower roller exerts a thrust on a disk when the follower roller travels along the profile of the cam, thus disengaging the pulley from the driving shaft of the cloth takeup regulator.

Abstract: An elbowed yarn exit tube placed at the delivery end of a high-speed hollow rotor contains one or a number of false-twist ribs against which the spun yarn is applied in frictional contact. The ribs form part of a detachable member which is fitted against the periphery of a recess formed in the elbowed portion of the exit tube in the zone nearest the generator-line which has the shortest radius of curvature, the detachable member being locked in position by means of a slidable retaining sleeve.

Abstract: In a device for driving the weft-inserting needles of a shuttleless loom in a rectilinear reciprocating movement, each needle is connected to the needle-actuating system by means of a flexible connecting member or so-called flector and is guided within a rail by means of a block of antifriction material attached to the end of the needle. By means of the device, vibrations of the driving mechanism are not transmitted to the weft-inserting needle at high operating speeds of the loom.

Abstract: A regulating device for actuating the regulating element of the speed-changing unit of a warp-beam let-off motion as a function of the position of a lever of the balance for measuring the tension of warp threads. A jamming member is engaged over a bar which is driven in reciprocating motion by an eccentric. The jamming member is capable of selective sliding along the bar or jamming against said bar according to the orientation given to the jamming member by a rod attached to the balance lever. The energy required for regulating the speed-changing unit is supplied by a shaft which is driven by the main motor of the loom and drives the bar in reciprocating motion.

Abstract: Velvet which has been woven in a double layer passes between a table and a rule before the pile threads are cut by a knife in order to separate the two layers. The rule is suspended from a reinforcement bar by means of two anchoring points located at a distance from the ends of the rule, thus reducing the deflection of the rule and achieving enhanced uniformity in the height of velvet pile threads.
