Patents Assigned to Societe Alsacienne de Constructions Mechaniques de Mulhouse
  • Patent number: 4542816
Abstract: In a shuttleless loom in which the weft thread is inserted by an entry needle, the yarn is transferred at the center of the width of cloth to an exit needle which carries an exit clip. The stationary clip body has a wedge-shaped end which cooperates with a hook carried by a movable portion for clamping the weft thread. The yarn is held between two clamping facets carried by the wedge-shaped end of the clip body and by the hook, the facets being inclined with respect to the plane of displacement of the movable portion.

  • Patent number: 4241572
Abstract: The bottom wall of a cup-shaped rotor for a freed-fiber spinning device has a flat central portion surrounded by an inclined annular portion. The lateral wall of the cup has the shape of a cone frustum, the small diameter of which is located on the edge of the cup opening. Waste removal holes are formed in the annular portion of the bottom wall in the immediate vicinity of the lateral wall. Waste material is thus discharged to the exterior of the rotor under the action of centrifugal force.

  • Patent number: 4143683
Abstract: The present invention relates to means for controlling and for cutting the weft threads in looms with weft inserters. The combination of the means for controlling and for cutting the weft threads comprises a thread cutter carried by the loom framing, as well as a threader and a lowering hook carried by the sley. The thread cutter is constituted by a vertically-movable knife which co-operates with a component provided towards the rear with a weft thread retaining hook. The knife has, towards the rear, an extension for guiding the weft thread into the shed. The threader is formed by a horizontal ramp ended at its rear by an upwardly and forwardly open loop, located above the path of the entry needle, while the lowering hook may adopt, selectively, a high position above the weft thread portion connecting the threader loop to the cloth and a low position in which it presses down and holds one point of said weft thread portion below the path of the nippers of the entry needle.
