  • Patent number: 4448444
Abstract: In a power supply housing having an annular flange, suspension means having a central opening therein is provided to be secured to said annular flange, and said suspension means is used to secure a power supply isolating transformer to the underside thereof such that the secondary socket of said transformer is positioned in the central opening of the suspension means for direct plug-in connection of a light source without need of a bipolar cable. An integral transformer construction is also disclosed for attachment to the suspension means as described.

  • Patent number: 4393440
Abstract: A cover assembly comprising a cover having a plurality of holes for securement on top of a light base, said cover having a central top portion formed with at least one window for the exit light beam and an upwardly inclined ramp in front of said at least one aperture, and an optical system comprising a light source and at least one lens means hermetically mounted in said at least one window for the exit light beam, said lens means having a central refracting portion and two lateral total reflecting portions. The central refracting portion is formed with a first surface with double curvature towards the light source with flat upper and lower faces and a second surface with double curvature on its outer side with flat upper and lower faces.

  • Patent number: 4382274
Abstract: A top assembly which comprises a cover assembly having a circular shape with a flat surface and having apertures for securement on top of the light base, said cover assembly having at least one window fitted with optical prism or lens means for the passage of each output light beam from an optical system, and further having a draining aperture in front of each said window; and at least one light channel plate to be mounted adjacent the cover assembly in coaxial alignment with the optical axis of the apparatus, said channel plate having an elongated shape with circular arcuate end sides, the curvature of a first of said end sides mating with the curvature of the peripheral edge of the cover assembly so as to be placed adjacent said peripheral edge. The cover assembly has cover inner means secured to the underside of it to form with said cover assembly a water-tight enclosure for the optical system.

  • Patent number: 4354221
Abstract: A guidance light including an optical system comprising a reflector having an internal concave reflecting surface formed as a surface of revolution about the optical axis. Said reflecting surface is configured so as to reflect the light from a light source onto said axis along a continuous segment thereof such that each point reflects light onto said segment at a distance from its end nearest to the light source which is proportional to the arcuate length of the reflecting surface between said point and the intersection of said surface and said axis. Exit optical means are also included to redirect the light beam in the suitable direction.

  • Patent number: 4216413
Abstract: A control system which is organized such that a power distribution line only is required for connecting the control unit and the flash lamps and such that the sequencing control, the energy level control of the light bursts and the positive monitoring of the lamp operation are centralized in the control unit. The usual high voltage storage capacitors and the related charge and protection circuitries are consequently needless in the triggering circuit associated with each flash lamp. The lamps are triggered by a burst of pulsed voltage waveforms which are applied on the power distribution line in synchronism with positive half cycles of the supply voltage at the control unit, each pulsed waveform being associated to the control of a respective flash lamp.
