Patents Assigned to Societe Anonyme Poclain Hydraulics
  • Patent number: 5201570
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle equipped with wheels coupled to fluid motors, restrictions being placed on supply or exhaust conduits of the motors. According to the invention, the vehicle comprises front and rear wheels, each coupled to one of the motors, each motor being of a reversible type, while a restriction is placed on the supply conduit of each motor coupled to the rear wheels, another restriction being placed on the exhaust conduit of each motor coupled to the front wheels. One application of the invention is the production of a wheeled vehicle equipped with a simple and efficient anti-skid system for its wheels.

  • Patent number: 4898076
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressurized fluid mechanism comprising a plurality of pistons (14) and a plurality of different cylinder capacities. A particular cylinder capacity is selected by means of two identical slide valves (17, 18) which serve selectively to neutralize either a first overall cylinder capacity (45a) or a second overall cylinder capacity (45c), or both or neither of said first and second cylinder capacities. One application of the invention is to providing an efficient and compact motor which is cheap to produce.

  • Patent number: 4723636
Abstract: The invention relates to a braking device, constituted by a housing in which is housed a brake disc fixed in rotation with respect to the housing, a shaft mounted to rotate, a rotary brake disc, fast with the shaft, a first jack, constituting a pressurized fluid braking control member, and a second jack distinct and independent of the first jack, which defines, inside the housing, a brake-release chamber, to which is coupled an elastic safety braking member, the mobile element of the first jack and the piston of the second jack being stacked axially in that order from only one of the two ends of the alternate stack of the fixed and rotary brake discs. The mobile elements of the two jacks are each at least partly contained in the brake-release chamber which, furthermore, contains each fixed brake disc and 1 or each rotary brake disc. One application of the present invention is a multiple-effect brake of satisfactory compactness.

  • Patent number: 4719843
Abstract: This invention relates to a hydraulic mechanism having a cylinder block comprising cylinders, pistons mounted in these cylinders, and supporting rollers for abutment on a cam with respect to which the cylinder block is mounted to rotate. The mechanism for holding each roller in position with respect to a corresponding piston comprises two distinct supports which each abut on the inner surface of the cylinder, are maintained in position along the axis of the piston, have their angular orientation with respect to this axis constant and possess a face for abutment against an end face of the roller. One application of the invention is the manufacture of a compact engine.

  • Patent number: 4077431
Abstract: A servo-operated fluid flow control valve includes a valve body housing a main valve which defines with the body an inlet chamber, an exhaust chamber, and a control chamber. An auxiliary valve is interposed between the control and exhaust chambers and is movable relative to the main valve by a jack controlled by a regulator. The arrangement is such that when the auxiliary valve is closed, the inlet and control chambers are in communication, and when the auxiliary valve is open, the control and exhaust chambers are in communication while the inlet and control chambers are isolated from each other.
