Abstract: In the controlled and stabilized platform (1) comprising a plurality of optical apparatuses, the optical apparatuses (8, 9, 10) are mounted in a casing (7) which is pivotable about a sight axis (12) in a bearing (13) which is pivotable about a bearing axis (14), the casing (7) and the bearing (13) being controlled about their axes (12) and (14) by motors (40) and (38) actuated by detectors measuring variations in the angular position of a stabilized input mirror (11) which reflects radiations going to the optical apparatuses or coming from the latter.

Abstract: The invention relates to a locking and unlocking device for a gyroscopic rotor which is mounted through the intermediary of an internal cardan (5) placed at the end of a shaft (4) which receives a screwthreaded bushing (10) which is capable of being screwed onto this shaft and into the rotor (3) in order to make the assembly of rotor (3), shaft (4) and bushing (10) integral and hence to isolate the internal cardan (5) from the forces exerted upon the rotor when the latter is in the "locked" position. The bushing (10) is caused to unscrew by a spiral spring (15) to place the rotor (3) in the "unlocked" position.

Abstract: The invention relates to missile guidance and provides a method and system for guiding one or more missiles on to one or more targets. Aim on the targets and missiles is taken by means of two electro-optical pick-ups having a switchable field of view and supported on a stabilized and orientable platform. The pick-ups provide images displayed on screens and the corresponding video signals are processed by deviation measuring circuits which form tracking windows around the image of the targets and the missiles and determine their coordinates, the latter being addressed to a computing unit which generates guidance and steering commands transmitted to the missiles.Application to the automatic guidance of missiles fired as a salvo from an anti-tank helicopter.

Abstract: The invention relates to periscopic apparatus for the observation and aiming or sighting apparatus, particularly for mounting on a vehicle, having a stabilized panoramic gunsight head positioned externally of the vehicle and a corresponding sight tube with at least one eye piece positioned within the said vehicle. The sight tube and the gunsight head are interconnected by a wall-traversing periscopic ferrule which can be substituted by a sleeve in which is placed either a nocturnal vision means or a ranging means or both of the said means.
