  • Patent number: 4337547
Abstract: A screen wiper intended to be detachably fitted on the end of a wiper arm, comprises a harness having means for attachment of the harness to said arm, an elastically deformable elongated piece having means along a portion thereof towards one end for supporting a portion of a wiper blade, and a yoke pivotally mounted towards the other end of said elongated piece for supporting the portion of the blade rubber not carried by the said elongated piece. By mounting the blade in this manner the blade can undergo independant deformation on each side of the articulation point of the wiper arm, which eliminates practically all risk of lift-away such as can occur with known wipers when they encounter zones of great curvature.

  • Patent number: 4279054
Abstract: A screen wiper blade with a replaceable rubber-blade comprises a deformable harness equipped with pairs of claws receiving the edges of a flexible vertebra on which a wiping blade rubber is mounted. The vertebra is constituted by an elongated thin metallic plate having a longitudinal slot over the major part of its length. The rubber blade is provided with a longitudinal bead turned towards the harness and separated from the body by a thin wall lodged in the said slot. Adjacent one of the extremities of the rubber blade and on the same side of the body as the bead is a nipple. The thin plate comprises at one extremity a cutaway portion forming a fork and the said nipple comprises in its lower part a groove facing the extremity of the blade rubber opposite to the said nipple, the said fork cooperating with the said groove.

  • Patent number: 4209874
Abstract: The windscreen-wiper blade comprises a support equipped with two lateral wings through each of which a hole passes, the two holes being aligned on an axis perpendicular to the said wings. The support carries a locking piece sliding longitudinally between the wings while remaining opposite to the two holes and comprising a transverse opening prolonged by a transverse opening of greater height. The locking piece can occupy two stable positions in which each of the openings is respectively opposite to the two holes of the support. The holes of the support are prolonged by collars and the support is provided with a pair of slots in the region of the holes whereby the two wings of an intermediate piece provided with cut-away portions of circular arc form capable of introduction into said slots can engage around said collars to secure said wiper assembly to said wiper arm. This blade is particularly intended for the equipment of windscreen wipers of automobile vehicles.
