Abstract: A grip contains a profiled membrane (1) made of flexible material with two lips (1c) (1d) forming an interior collar, leaving the passage for the introduction of a tool shaft with any cross section free and which, when used and handled, allows the collars to fulfil the function of sealing lips and in that the profiled membrane forms at least one air chamber (1a) on the inside, and when the grip is handled by the user the membrane is deformed and creates a vacuum in the interior chambers (1a) (1b), forming suction pads on the tool shaft.

Abstract: The filtering column is of the type comprising a perforated hollow metal tubular body (11) around which is disposed a stack (20) of metal rings (27) having deformations forming spacing elements and defining therebetween filtering interstices. The rings (27) have an inside diameter exceeding the outside diameter of the tubular body (11) so as to define between the inner periphery of each ring and the outer periphery of the tubular body a limited radial clearance (26) which does not exceed the elastic limit of each individual ring. The rings (27) constitute a stack (20) retained axially on the hollow body (11) in an undetachable manner with an axial clearance exceeding the aforementioned radial clearance.

Abstract: A bicycle rack for holding a bicycle in an upright position and designed to be attached to the luggage carrier on a motor vehicle. The rack includes a frame bracket with a jaw with an upwardly facing jaw which receives the crank assembly housing of the bicycle. The jaw preferably includes a fixed member and a movable member which moves arcuately with respect to the fixed member from an open position, to permit the bicycle crank assembly housing to be placed therein to a closed position which secures the housing from removal. A lever can be provided for such a multi-member jaw to facilitate the opening and closing thereof, and a lock may be incorporated into this lever to make the rack resistant to the theft of a bicycle therefrom and to prevent the accidental opening of the jaw during the transportation of a bicycle.

Abstract: The apparatus comprises an enclosure divided into two compartments (13 and 14) by a partition wall (15) which has a circular row of apertures (16). Filtering elements (26) of hollow tubular shape are fixed in one (13) of the compartments by an open end on each one of the apertures (16). A rotary tubular arm (20) is mounted in the other compartment (14) and has an end which sweeps along the circle of apertures and coincides with each one of the apertures in turn. The arm has a device (21) at the rotatable end of the arm (20) for closing an aperture (16) of the partition wall (15) and the orifice (51) of the end of the arm and a suction pump (P) for applying a sudden counter-current hydraulic shock through the wall of each filtering element (26) in turn is provided.

Abstract: Apparatus for automatic packaging of products such as concrete blocks in pallets formed by stacking layers of the blocks including a fixed table having supports along its sides and a moveable carriage disposed above the table on guide rails. The carriage is slideable having a translatory movement along the rails and carries gripping members for holding and releasing the blocks so as to move the blocks to form reserved spaces in the pallet for the tongs of a pallet handling device. The reserved spaces are formed in a given layer of the blocks in the pallet by causing the gripping members to hold and release the blocks in cooperation with detection and spacing devices for forming a given number of reserved spaces in the desired layer of blocks. The reserved spaces are created in a layer of blocks during the continuous movement of the carriage in the same direction.

Abstract: A lock for stowage of freight in a vehicle includes two latches pivotally mounted transversely between two supporting spars and provided with anchor flanges for the freight. The latches are pivotable between open and closed positions. The lock includes a manual locking member mounted to be able to rotate about the pivot axis of the two latches, one latch cooperating with a locking lever which is able to rock about a transverse pivot fixed to the spars. The latches have bearing surfaces which cooperate with the locking member in the open and closed positions. The lock in accordance with the invention is specially applicable to the stowage of freight in the bays of freight aircraft.
