Abstract: A binocular observation device for a single real or aerial image with a short focal length, comprising an optical element having a semi-reflecting surface permitting the passage of light towards a convergent eyepiece and deflecting the light onto a convergent group of lenses centered about a frontal optical axis which is oblique with respect to the optical axis of the eyepiece, and followed at the rear by a reflective component the optical reflected axis of which is displaced by the interpupillary distance of the eyepiece relative to this axis.
