  • Publication number: 20070265024
Abstract: System for accelerating access to predetermined data of multimedia content or access to a value-added service, from a mobile wireless telephone communications terminal. The mobile terminal communicates with an interactive server providing the content. A wireless telephone network includes a unidirectional broadcasting centre of predetermined data from the interactive server to the mobile terminal. The predetermined data transmitted contains an identification characteristic identifiable by the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal identifies the predetermined data transmitted by the broadcast centre, saves the predetermined data, reads information representing the identification characteristic of the predetermined data saved by the mass memory means and, and authorizes or does not authorize access by the direct access key to these data.

  • Patent number: 7127212
Abstract: Frequencies are allocated to plural base stations for managing cells of a cellular wireless telephone network by a computer which for a given cell, allocates a frequency associated with an estimated minimal interference, and selects another cell of remaining cells to be processed. The computer (1) develops a chain of downstream cells within mutual radio range by repeating the above steps for each cell, (2) compares estimated interference levels with a threshold, (3) defines a remainder of cells by eliminating from the remaining set of plural cells to be processed, cells associated with an interference level less than the threshold, (4) develops a first segment of a chain of cells of allocated frequencies when the remaining cells have been defined, and (5) develops a second chain segment by allocating frequencies to the unprocessed remaining cells by searching for other frequencies to be allocated to the remaining cells by iterating these steps until no cells remain.

  • Patent number: 6892073
Abstract: A computer system generates constraint matrices for planning a cellular, wireless telephone network. A given number of specified carrier frequencies are allocated to plural radio base stations having specified positions and transmission powers. The stations act as a server cell or an interfering cell in a service zone. The computer: (1) predicts the field strength C of a field received in a mesh in the service zone at one of the server cell predetermined frequencies; (2) computes (a) for each of the meshes, the strength I of the interference field generated by the interfering cells, and (b) C/I for the “server” cell provided I of an interfering field received in the mesh is larger than a predetermined value; and (3) determines a global interference proportion tbij which is displayed or stored in a constraint matrix by integrating C/I over the entire service zone.

  • Patent number: 6487245
Abstract: A method and device for the testing of a radiocommunications network by implementing downline from a first antenna and a second antenna, respectively a first reception line and a second reception line. The first reception line is assigned to the reception of first signals, in a first incoming direction. A second reception line is assigned to the reception of second signals, in a second incoming direction. Each reception line tries to decode the signals that it receives and, if the decoding can be done, it reads an identifier proper to the transmitter, so as to determine firstly which of said first and second signals are interference signals, and, secondly, the incoming direction of interference signals and/or the identifier of interference units. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding base station.

  • Patent number: 6449468
Abstract: A mobile radiocommunication terminal includes a first antenna with a first polarization and a second antenna with a second polarization. The antennas are separate and are both used to receive signals. Signals received by the first and second antennas are combined in polarization diversity. Specifically, for each distinct polarization, a Viterbi decoding means outputs the most probable signals and a probability factor associated with the most probable signals. A digital signal processor includes, for each distinct polarization, weighting means that weight the most probable signals by the associated probability factor, and means for summating the signal outputs from the weighting means.
