  • Patent number: 4606984
Abstract: A process is provided for stabilizing a primary electrochemical generator comprising at least one reactive anode made from a metal chosen from the group comprising zinc, aluminium and magnesium, characterized in that to said electrode is added a percentage of 0.01% to 1% by weight with respect to the metal, of at least one perfluorated organic compound of the ethoxylated fluoroalcohol type. It also relates to an anode obtained by the above mentioned process and a primary electrochemical generator, with alkaline or saline electrolyte, comprising an anode of this type.

  • Patent number: 4450211
Abstract: An electrochemical generator is provided, more especially a cell or battery of the metal/air type, comprising a thin positive air electrode 1 forming cathode and having a shape such that it leaves available a space which it partially surrounds, a current collector 2 associated with this positive electrode, an anode mass 4 disposed inside this positive electrode in said available space, a second current collector 5 associated with this anode mass and possible a separator 6 between said anode mass and said positive electrode, characterized in that said positive electrode has the shape of a glove finger or bell.

  • Patent number: 4440835
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for manufacturing an electrode, particularly a thin gas electrode of any non flat shape, characterized in that an homogeneous mixture is prepared of dry particles of active compounds, formed by at least one compound with electrocatalytic activity and possibly by at least one compound presenting electronic conductivity, and dry polytetrafluorethylene fibers, a lubricant is added and possibly a surfactant so as to cause coating of the particles of the mixture with the lubricant, and the lubricated particles of the mixture are shaped to form the electrode. Thus, electrodes of different shapes are obtained, for example a glove finger shape. The invention also relates to a process for preparing a current collector for an electrochemical device electrode, characterized in that there is deposited, on at least a part of the surface of this electrode, a thin porous metal film adhering to the electrode.

  • Patent number: 4286312
Abstract: This portable lighting apparatus which comprises a case having a parabolic reflector, a bulb whose filament is situated substantially at the focus of the parabolic reflector and a square or rectangular shaped diffusing lens fixed at the periphery of the reflector, perpendicularly to the optical axis thereof, is characterized in that the lens carries a series of rectilinear and adjacent scores on each of its internal and external faces, in that the scores of the same series are formed by concave cylindrical surfaces having transversely the same radius and are perpendicular to those of the other series and in that the radii of the scores of the internal face of the lens are slightly smaller than those of the scores of the external face of said lens, the depth and the radii of the two series of scores being chosen so that the pyramidal light beam therefrom gives constant illumination in any plane perpendicular to the optical axis.
