Abstract: A container comprises a man-made material film which is shaped to define at least one sealed compartment, a plane top around the compartment or compartments and continuous external walls which surround the compartment or compartments. These walls have a height at least equal to that of the compartment or compartments. The man-made material film is backed by at least one bonded-on layer of cardboard over substantially all the inside surface of each wall and of the top. The man-made material film is in a single piece which constitutes an uninterrupted outside wall all around the container and a plane top and which forms at least one compartment inside the volume determined by the outside wall of the container and by the top. The cardboard part constitutes in a single piece a top with at least one opening in it and side walls with adjacent edges.

Abstract: In a cardboard container, having a bottom wall and side walls, slits are defined to extend only in the bottom wall and the material of the bottom wall is deformed or bent so that the portions of the bottom wall, adjacent to the edges of each given slit, are situated different planes and are maintained in these different planes by means of a sheet of synthetic material. The sheet of synthetic material is shaped by heat deformation to conform with the deformed shape of the bottom wall.

Abstract: A process of making a container of the dishtype, including, on the one hand, a bottom 40, walls 31 to 34 and 41 to 44 and edges 30a to 30d of exterior cardboard and, on the other hand, of a thermo-formed layer 2 of synthetic material. The edges 30a to 30d are constituted by the sides of a frame 30 and are in one piece. The frame 30 is integral with the walls 31 to 34, bent downward. The bottom 40 is integral with the walls 41 to 44, bent upward and complimentary to the walls 31 to 34. All walls are placed so as to be on the same level and are maintained by the layer 2.

Abstract: A container includes a cardboard portion and a portion of synthetic material. The cardboard portion includes a first part having a unitary rim and first wall panels integrally connected to the rim and a second part having a bottom panel and second wall panels. The first and second wall panels are juxtaposed in alternating pattern to form a continuous wall.
