  • Patent number: 6278619
Abstract: The invention concerns a disconnecting appliance, such as a switch, a fuse-disconnecting switch or breaker-reversing switch, having a novel arrangement of fixed and moving contacts promoting contact surface self-cleaning and increasing contact force for the same contact force applied by the cam. Moreover, it comprises a newly designed cam for actuation the mobile contacts to optimize to the maximum the operating conditions when engaging and releasing. The appliance is characterized in that the moving contacts (35, 36) comprise two contact surfaces (38) arranged in substantially perpendicular planes, corresponding with those (27) of the fixed contacts (31, 31′ and 33, 33′), each moving contact (35, 36) moving in radial translation relative to the control shaft (23) along a direction (F) substantially perpendicular to a straight line passing through its two contact surfaces (38).

  • Patent number: 5772011
Abstract: The present invention relates to a switch-fuse unit provided with a control block to activate auxiliary circuits, this control block being provided with a rotating shaft fitted with a handle for selecting the unit's functions. This unit comprises an accessory device (10) mounted on the control block (11) and is provided with at least one microswitch (13) associated with an auxiliary circuit and a rotating part (18) mounted on said rotation shaft, this part being fitted with at least one activation cam (17). Each microswitch (13) comprises a mobile actuator (14) controlled by a plunger (15) via a support (12), this plunger (15) itself being controlled by the activation cam (17) associated with it, when the rotating part is moving. This accessory device (10) is particularly compact, easy to access and use and is suitable for all switching logics.

  • Patent number: 4723457
Abstract: The sudden interlocking and unlocking mechanism of a translation switch comprises a spring interlocking and spring unlocking rocking device associated in line with a toggle joint mechanism used as interlocker. According to one characteristic of the invention the mechanical assembly of the translation switch includes a remote unlocking mechanism. According to another characteristic, the unlocking energy is used to automatically replace the toggle joint mechanism and its composite elements in position ready for engagement of the switch, that is, in position in which the articulation points of the mechanical assembly are aligned in the phase preceding the interlocking operation.
