Abstract: The disclosure provides a cushion including an outer cover defining an interior cavity, and inner filler material disposed within the interior cavity. The inner filler material may comprise at least one molded block of polyurethane foam. The outer cover and/or the inner filler material may be porous to at least water. The cushion further includes a waterproof coating to the outer surface the inner filler material and forming waterproof seal extending entirely thereabout after curing. The waterproof coating comprises butyl acrylate within the range of 17-32 wt %, styrene within the range of 13-26 wt %, and deionized water within the range of 42-70 wt % prior to curing. The waterproof coating may further include auxiliary components within the range of 0.5-8 wt % prior to curing. The auxiliary components may include acrylic acid, sodium lauryl sulfate, an emulsifier component, ammonium peroxydisulfate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium phosphate, tertiary and tributyl phosphate.
Abstract: A unit for inflating an inflatable object includes a first sub-system for initially inflating the inflatable object and a second sub-system for automatically adding air to the inflatable object when the air pressure within the object falls below a predetermined threshold after inflation. The air pressure within the inflatable object is monitored and measured by an electric pressure sensor that communicates with a PC circuit board. The unit allows air into and out of the inflatable object using a solenoid configured to open and close a valve. The first and second sub-systems are both contained within the same housing affixed to the inflatable object and use the same solenoid and valve to add air into the inflatable object.
Abstract: A cushion filler material including a plurality of loose pieces of filler material and a plurality of gel material pieces is disclosed. The cushion filler material may be used in, for example, bedding products and furniture cushions.
Abstract: A pillow with improved air flow is provided. The pillow includes a including an upper face, a lower face, four peripheral sides, a first gusset section and a first vent. The first gusset section extends along at least a portion of one of the peripheral sides. Also, at least a portion of the first vent configured as part of the upper face. In another aspect of the present invention, the first vent is configured to be a part of the upper face, one of the peripheral sides adjacent the first gusset and the lower face.
