Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system for automatically forwarding retail sales transaction information and corresponding sales tax data from individual retailers to a centrally located remote location for auditing tax. More particularly, this invention relates to a system and method for ensuring that substantially all retail transactions upon which sales tax is collected are reported. Further the device or service creates a lottery number that is stored alongside the data collected for the transaction and sends this lottery number, along with additional auxiliary information and forwards the data to a printer.
