Patents Assigned to Sokkia Company Limited
  • Patent number: 6768767
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-channel type GPS receiver which is able to shorten the search time for a cold start, wherein a carrier tracking circuit 10, code tracking circuit 12, C/A code generator 14 are provided at the L1-C/A code receiving channel side, a C/A code generator 20 is provided at the L1-P code receiving channel side in addition to the code tracking circuit 16 and P code generator 18. Thereby, the code generator 20 and tracking circuit 16 are changed over and connected to each other by a switching means 22 when carrying out a search mode for a cold start. A C/A code generator 30 is provided at the L2-P code receiving channel side in addition to a carrier tracking circuit 24, code tracking circuit 26 and P code generator 28, whereby the code generator 30 is changed and connected to the tracking circuit 26 by a switching means 32 when carrying out the search mode during a cold start.

  • Patent number: 5841535
Abstract: A multiaxis distance measuring device is provided that includes a multiaxis interferometer 14 includes a rectangular box-shaped housing 30, a mounting base 32 disposed within the housing 30, a stage 38 set in a parallelly movable manner via slider 36, and an interferometer body 42 set on the stage 38 via mounting block 40. Interferometer body 42 is partitioned into parts A, B, C, and D, which have as an optical part in common, a polarization beam splitter 68, which is disposed along the longitudinal direction of stage 38 with its lower side facing a laser entrance hole 62 and its upper side face facing a laser exit hole 64. Part A is provided with only a 1/4 wave plate 70. Part B is provided with a pentagonal prism 72 and a 1/4 wave plate 70 so that its light emission direction is pointed downwards.

  • Patent number: 5828456
Abstract: Interferometer 14 is equipped with a beam directing mechanism portion for causing the incoming laser beam to be reflected in the x, y, and z axis directions and a switching mechanism for the beam directing mechanism portion. Computer 20 provides driving commands sequentially to NC controller 22 in accordance with the contents of a measurement program to thereby operate milling machine A in accordance with a prescribed procedure, calculates correction data by comparing the distance measurement data, obtained at the beam source portion 12, with reference data, causes the correction value to be taken into NC controller 22, and starts up controller 24 and operates the switching mechanism of the multiaxis interferometer 14 after the end of work for each axis to change the axial direction measured.

  • Patent number: 5821899
Abstract: In a geodetic interferometry method, a pair of GPS antennae are set at a fixed known point and an unknown point and radio signals transmitted from a plurality of satellites are received at the same time with the GPS antennae to determine the distance and bearing between the known point and the unknown point. In this process, the GPS antenna at the unknown point is sequentially set at two positions which are equidistant and 180.degree. opposite each other with respect to the GPS antenna set at the known point and the integral wave phase is determined from the radio signals received from the satellites at these two positions.

  • Patent number: 5757315
Abstract: A GPS receiving apparatus is equipped with a GPS receiver 10, a data decoder 12, data memory means 14, a CPU 16, a display 18 and an input pen 20. The display 18 is provided with a digitizing function to allow input by drawing of data with the input pen 20. A sky diagram image 24 serving as the input screen consists of a circular figure the perimeter of which represents the horizon and the center of which is considered as the zenith, and after the observer aligns the sky diagram image 24 with the observation point, the input pen 20 is used to draw images (a), (b) and (c) of the shape of and the proportion of sky occupied by obstacles such as buildings, trees and mountains within the field of view of the area based on the elevation angle of the observer himself, and the images are incorporated into the CPU 16 as obstacle-related data.
