Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of flat panel displays. And particularly to a flat panel displays composed of printable layers. An embodiment of the present invention comprises a first cross polarizer material layer; an indium tin oxide (ITO) layer printed upon the first polarizer layer with non-contact printing; a polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PLDC) layer printed upon the ITO layer; data electrodes and select electrodes printed upon the PLDC layer; a plurality of thin film transistors (TFT) mechanically place on and electrically coupled to the data electrodes and select electrodes; and a second cross polarizer material layer coupled to a back light source for the flat panel display.
