Patent number: 5174146Abstract: The method forms a part in relief on a sheet metal blank (10) by means of a die and a punch. There are carried out on at least a localized zone of the blank (10 of FIG. 2), whose dimension exceeds the dimension of the part in relief, a preforming operation and a shaping operation resulting in the forming of the part in relief. In the course of the preforming operation, a succession of stepped undulations are progressively produced in an intermediate zone of the localized zone located between the future high part of the part in relief and the periphery of the localized zone, and, in the course of the shaping operation, the stepped undulations of the intermediate zone are progressively unfolded and the part in relief is simultaneously formed. The invention also provides a device for carrying out this.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 1991Date of Patent: December 29, 1992Assignee: SollacInventors: Gerard Heurteboust, Jean-Francois Seconde

Patent number: 5158129Abstract: A system with a principal hopper having balances and discharge piping fitted with a valve and a flow sensor. The lower end of the piping extends into a secondary hopper which is connected to a pipe fitting powder to an ingot mold. The powder flows from the principal hopper into the secondary hopper and flows through the pipe into the ingot mould where it spreads over a cast metal surface. When the level of powder in the secondary hopper reaches the lower end of the piping, the flow is terminated and the flow sensor initiates valve closure. The valve is reopened after a specified time period or when another sensor indicates the absence of powder. In this way, it is possible to determine powder consumption by measuring the time between two successive valve openings or closures.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1991Date of Patent: October 27, 1992Assignees: Sollac, Techmetal PromotionInventors: Ghislain Hubert, Andre Klein, Patrick Ominetti, Raymond Pilloy

Patent number: 5154534Abstract: According to a process for the manufacture of a framework (1) for reinforcing concrete structures and, in particular, concrete slab or shell structures in the form of a steel strip (3) with notched or goffered surfaces, a hot laminated sheet is used as a basis material having a width of between 1.5 and 6 mm, whereby said sheet is made of steel with a carbon content of less than 0.9%, and elastic limit of approximately 500 MPa. Said sheet is subjected to a cold lamination process at a strength-hardening level greater than 40% in order to obtain a sheet having, on the one hand, a thickness of between 0.8 and 2.5 mm, and on the other hand, an elastic limit greater than 700 MPa whereby the sheet is cut again so as to obtain a steel strip (3) which is then continuously notched or goffered. The application also concerns the framework obtained according to the process.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1990Date of Patent: October 13, 1992Assignee: SollacInventors: Georges J. M. Patent number: 4796665Abstract: A valve body comprises a first sealing seat and a second seat opposite the first. The valve element is selectively controlled so that, in addition to the position in which a bearing surface thereof rests on the first seat to ensure tightness of the device and of the circuit on which it is mounted, the valve element can be placed in a median position between the two seats, so as to provide a maximum flowing section between the valve element and the valve body for draining the circuit. In intermediate positions, another bearing surface of the valve element works in cooperation with the second seat, the valve element being held in a position selected between the first median position and a resting position on the second seat, thus limiting the flowing section between the valve element and the second seat to control the discharge of the circuit.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 1987Date of Patent: January 10, 1989Assignee: Societe Lorraine de Laminage Continu - SollacInventor: Charles Christiany
