Abstract: A communication device is presented that has different processors and a power amplifier. One of the processors receives a signal from a monitor and indicates that an alarm exists to a diagnostics module. The other processor uses the envelope signal of the input signal to be amplified and either the signal from the diagnostics module, the monitor or the power amplifier to adjust modulation of the power supply of the power amplifier dependent on the type of alarm. The power supply voltage or headroom is maximized or frozen at the value of the last detection cycle if a fault or impairment, respectively, of the power amplifier is detected.
Abstract: An audio display system can include an audio input configured to receive a plurality of inputs corresponding different audio channels of a multi-channel audio signal. A phase calculator is configured to determine a relative phase between at least a given pair of the audio channels. An amplitude calculator is configured to determine an amplitude for at least the given pair of audio channels. A display generator is configured to generate an audio display. The audio display can include an amplitude element representing the amplitude determined for each audio channel in the given pair of the audio channels, the amplitude elements being spaced apart from each other to define a phase zone between the respective pair of amplitude elements. The audio display can also include a phase output plotted in the phase zone between the respective pair of amplitude elements, the phase output representing a phase relationship between the given pair of the audio channels.

Abstract: A system and method is provided to allow a consumer to interactively explore his credit score by submitting hypothetical values based on his actual credit data. The system uses the consumer's real credit data and the submitted hypothetical values to calculate a simulated credit score based on a simulator scorecard. The consumer may then observe the changes in the resultant scores. The system and the scorecard may utilize fewer data elements than a complete credit-worthiness scorecard and may instead focus on the key elements affecting a consumer's credit score. The system may be implemented in part on a web server or as a stand-alone application. The system may also update the score dynamically as the consumer adjusts the hypothetical values or may require the consumer to affirmatively submit the new hypothetical data.
Abstract: A document conveying device includes a document conveying unit, a controller, first and second document detectors, a pulse count detector, and a determining unit. The first document detector is located on a feeding path along which a document is fed by the document conveying unit, and detects a document leading edge. The second document detector is located at a position different from that of the first document detector in both a document feeding direction and a direction orthogonal thereto, and detects the document leading edge. The determining unit determines whether the number of pulses detected by the pulse count detector during the period from detection of the document leading edge by one of the first and second document detectors to detection of the document leading edge by the other exceeds a predetermined value. If the number of pulses exceeds the predetermined value, the controller stops the document feeding operation.
Abstract: Data filters, models, and/or profiles for identifying and/or predicting the never-pay population (for example, those customers that make a request for credit and obtain the credit instrument but over the life of the account, never make a payment) can be useful to various commercial entities, such as those issuing mortgages, home equity lines of credit, consumer or business lines of credit, automobile loans, credit card accounts, or those entities providing services, such as utility services, phone services, and the like.
Abstract: An image scanning apparatus scanning a document image includes a document conveying unit, an image scanning unit, a foreign object detecting unit, a display unit, and a control unit. The document conveying unit feeds pages of a document loaded on a document feed tray one at a time. The image scanning unit scans each fed page of the document on a scanning face. The foreign object detecting unit detects whether a foreign object exists on the scanning face based on the image data on the page of the document scanned on the scanning face. The control unit causes the display unit to display the detection of a foreign object if a last page of the document loaded on the document feed tray is scanned and the foreign object on the scanning face is detected based on the image data on the last page of the document.
Abstract: An evolved Node B creates or updates peer sets from measured performance information received from one or more stations. The measured performance information includes at least one quality metric associated with a downlink signal sent from the evolved Node B to the one or more stations. The evolved Node B determines excluded timeslots and preferred timeslots based on current resource assignments in each timeslot and based on the peer sets, marks potential resources in an uplink portion of a resource allocation map, and allocates one of the potential resources for peer-to-peer communication between a transmitter station and one or more receiver stations.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a sheet conveyance path, a toner containing unit, a fixing unit, a fixing housing, a heat insulation member, a first hot air exhaust passage, a second hot air exhaust passage and a third hot air exhaust passage. The fixing housing houses the fixing unit and includes a wall portion facing the toner containing unit. The heat insulation member shields between the wall portion and the toner containing unit. The first hot air exhaust passage is arranged between the heat insulation member and the toner containing unit. The second hot air exhaust passage communicates with the first hot air exhaust passage. The third hot air exhaust passage is arranged between the wall portion and the heat insulation member and includes an opening facing the sheet conveyance path and a communication port communicating with the second hot air exhaust passage.
Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes a tray to place a document, a conveying mechanism for a document, a reader for a document image, a detector for detecting a sheet jam, an image processor and a controller. The image processor performs an image processing for removing document smear from an image read by the reader. The controller controls a document conveying operation by the conveying mechanism and a document reading operation by the reader. If a jammed document is removed and the document is placed again on the document tray after the detector detects a sheet jam, the controller performs a sheet jam recovery processing for causing the conveying mechanism to convey the document again and causing the reader to read the image of the document. The image processor performs the image processing on the image of the jammed document read by the reader during the sheet jam recovery processing.
Abstract: A vibration isolation fastener insert comprising: a rigid cylindrical hub having an externally extending flange and a through longitudinal opening to receive a fastener. An elastomeric bushing around the hub has a slot therein receiving the external flange. An upper housing is disposed around the side of the bushing and has a flange over the top of the bushing. A lower housing is disposed around the external side of the upper housing and has a flange extending below a lower surface of the bushing.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for mitigating interference between spectrally distinct wireless communication networks employing co-located, collaborating radios. A first base station is in a first network and communicates with a first radio within a first frequency range, and a second base station is in a second network and communicates with a second radio in a second frequency range. The first and second radios are geographically co-located, for example, within a public safety vehicle. The first radio determines a maximum level of interference it will accept based on current operational parameters, and communicates a corresponding threshold value to the second radio through a data link. The second radio sends a request to its base station to employ interim scheduling constraints governing uplink transmissions from the second radio, to thereby limit out of band emissions received by the first radio to a range that is less than the threshold interference level.

Abstract: A client device performs a method for priority scanning of groups across multiple disparate connected networks which includes the client device creating a scan list having a designated priority group in response to user input that monitors the activity of a plurality of communication groups on a first wireless network that has a one-to-one mapping to a second plurality of logically equivalent communication groups provisioned on the multiple wireless networks. The client device also receives an indication from a communication server that a group on the scan list is active and automatically and preemptively joins the active group using resources on the first wireless network.
