Abstract: A correction mechanism of the belt conveyor device, including a pair of inclined bearings and a pair of main-body guides, corrects meanders of a belt. The pair of inclined bearings include a pair of bearing portions, respectively, and a pair of inclined portions, respectively, that are inclined symmetrically with respect to an axial direction of the rollers. The pair of main-body guides are put into contact with the pair of inclined portions, respectively, and make an end side of the rollers in the axial direction moved in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction, together with the pair of inclined bearings during meandering of the belt. The pair of inclined bearings are fittable to and removable from a shaft portion of one of the rollers.

Abstract: A printing system includes a printing device having a digital front end (DFE). The DFE includes printing device configuration settings. The DFE defines the settings based on configurable attributes and generates a device capabilities file. The device capabilities file is downloaded to a print driver, printing application, or other interface. The settings within the device capabilities file are modified based on a conflict with a configurable attribute received from another set of attributes. The modified settings are stored within the device capabilities file. The device capabilities file is provided to a print ticket editor or similar device with the settings dynamically configured.

Abstract: In an information notification system, an information processing device on a sending side that sends an e-mail includes: an operation device through which a reminder sending date and time earlier than a start date and time for a conference is to be input; and a controller that, upon satisfaction of a predetermined condition, brings forward the reminder sending date and time and, at the reminder sending date and time, executes sending of the e-mail to an information processing device on a receiving side that receives the e-mail.

Abstract: Analytical methods and systems applied to sequential event data are disclosed. An exemplary system and method analyzes datasets containing events in a plurality of journeys. The methods and systems described analyze and quantify the relative importance of events and sequences leading to outcomes where the data is complex and interconnected. In some embodiments, a graphical user interface illustrates the quantification of these datasets. In some embodiments, the graphical user interface maps the journey paths to show the relative importance of each journey path. In some embodiments, the maps of journey paths are interactive, allowing selection of paths of interest for detailed analysis. In some embodiments, the methods and systems calculate paths similar to a journey path of interest. An exemplary method and system also provides detailed recommendations for changing events within a sequence to either increase or decrease the likelihood of achieving a selected outcome.

The DFE determines an output parameter applicable to the printing device. The DFE stores an output setting related to the output parameter in a device capabilities file. The output parameter includes a capability and a constraint. A print job is assigned to the printing device to use the capability. A conflicts engine evaluates a job setting for the print job and the device capabilities file to determine a conflict. The conflict has a level of severity that is displayed. Printing operations may proceed depending on the level of severity.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an ink head unit, a precoating head unit, and a control part. The ink head unit ejects ink to a printing base material conveyed along a predetermined conveying direction. The precoating liquid head unit is disposed on an upstream side of the ink head unit in the conveying direction and ejects precoating liquid to the printing base material. The control part controls the precoating liquid head unit so as to eject the precoating liquid. When a surface tension of the recording base material is smaller than a predetermined value, the control part controls the precoating liquid head unit to eject a predetermined amount of the precoating liquid.
