Abstract: The systems and methods described herein allow consumers to lock or unlock their credit files at multiple credit bureaus in real-time or near real-time. The service may allow a consumer to provide identifying information, such as a personal identifier to lock or unlock credit files at a plurality of credit bureaus over a network. Upon receiving the personal identifier, the system may use the personal identifier to translate the identifier into a plurality of access codes for respective credit bureaus, for example by accessing a data structure, such as a database or table, that stores a personal identifier and access codes that are associated with a consumer. The system may then use the access codes to automatically initiate locking or unlocking of credit files for the consumer at the respective credit bureaus.

Abstract: A method of detecting a state of a lipid membrane in a cell of a nanopore based sequencing chip is disclosed. A lipid membrane is coupled with an integrating capacitor, wherein the lipid membrane is between a working electrode and a counter electrode. An alternating current (AC) voltage is applied to the counter electrode. A voltage across the integrating capacitor is periodically sampled by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). A change in the sampled voltage across the integrating capacitor in response to an intermediate change in the AC voltage is determined. A state of the lipid membrane is determined based on the determined change in the sampled voltage across the integrating capacitor in response to the intermediate change in the AC voltage.
Abstract: An information processing device includes a display unit, a movement detection unit, and a control section. The display unit has two display screens of a first screen and a second screen, the second screen being an opposite side of the first screen. The movement detection unit detects a first movement state of the information processing device moving in a direction that the first screen faces and a second movement state of the information processing device moving in a direction that the second screen faces. When the movement detection unit detects the first movement state, the control section allows the first screen to display first content and allows the second screen to display second content. When the movement detection unit detects the second movement state, the control section allows the second display screen to display the first content and allows the first screen to display the second content.

Abstract: A sheet storing cassette includes a cassette base, a sheet stacking plate, a cursor rail, a regulation cursor, and an adjustment member. The regulation cursor has a first regulating portion which forms a first sheet regulating face for positioning the sheets placed on the sheet stacking plate in the sheet feeding direction. The cursor rail has a plurality of engaged portions with which an engaging portion provided on the regulation cursor meshes when the regulation cursor is moved such that the first sheet regulating face is arranged at standard-size positions corresponding to a standard-size sheet. The adjustment member has a second regulating portion that offsets, when the adjustment member is attached to the regulation cursor arranged at one of standard-size positions, the first sheet regulating face to a second sheet regulating face corresponding to a non-standard size sheet.

Abstract: A fixing device includes a fixing belt, a pressing member, a pressing roller and a cap. The fixing belt is cylindrical and rotatable. The pressing member has a longitudinal length shorter than a longitudinal length of the fixing belt. The pressing member is configured to face an inner circumferential face of the fixing belt via a lubricant. The cap is configured to rotate together with the fixing belt. In a first end area between the longitudinal end portion of the fixing belt and the pressing member, a first step is formed on the inner circumferential face of the fixing belt in a circumferential direction of the fixing belt such that an inner diameter of the fixing belt is larger at a side of the longitudinal end than at a side of the pressing member.
Abstract: The cleaning device is for cleaning the inner surface of pipes. The method is for manufacturing the cleaning device and the use is of a vehicle anti-skid chain for cleaning the inner surface of a pipe. The cleaning device has a sleeve, to which are attached studded chains composed of steel links and surface hardened.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining in-band OSNR in optical information signals, e.g. in polarization-multiplexed QPSK and higher-order M-ary QAM signals, are disclosed. A correlation measurement of the signal amplitude or power at two distinct optical frequencies of the signal may be used to determine the in-band optical noise in the signal. A measurement of the signal power may be used to determine the OSNR based on the determined in-band noise.
Abstract: A filter assembly for authenticating a filter cartridge includes a filter housing and an optical scanner mounted to the filter housing. A controller uses the optical scanner to take one or more digital images of the filter cartridge and obtain digital coded data identifying the filter cartridge. Specifically, the controller locates a functional locator on the filter cartridge, determines a location of an identifying region on the filter cartridge, reads the digital coded data by interrogating the identifying region with the optical scanner, and determines that the filter cartridge is authentic based at least in part on the digital coded data.

Abstract: In an image processing system, a mobile terminal device obtains a position and a direction of each image forming apparatus relative to the mobile terminal device on a basis of respective wireless signals transmitted from each of the image forming apparatuses and is received by a near field communication unit, and displays on a display unit the position and the direction. When an arbitrary image forming apparatus is selected by operation of a touch panel, image data to be printed is transmitted via a network by a network communication section to the selected image forming apparatus.

When, with the first housing arranged at the first position, a sheet with a thickness greater than a reference value passes through the sheet conveying passage, the first housing moves in the direction in which the size of the gap increases as the sheet enters the sheet conveying passage, to allow the passage of the sheet.
Abstract: A test device for detecting and measuring distance to passive intermodulation (PIM) is disclosed. The test device may comprise a receiver to receive a signal from a test point of a distributed cell site comprising a remote radio head (RRH) and a baseband unit (BBU) separated and connected via an optical feeder. The test device may also comprise a processor to detect passive intermodulation (PIM) and measure distance to the PIM (internal or external). For example, the processor may replace downlink IQ data in the signal with two-tone waveform IQ data, transmit the two-tone waveform IQ data to the RRH, and to monitor uplink spectrum to detect PIM, where the uplink spectrum may comprise uplink IQ data from the RRH. The processor may also perform uplink spectrum analysis using radio frequency (RF) monitoring, measure a time delay for the two-tone waveform and the detected PIM, and calculate a distance to the PIM based on the time delay.
