Abstract: A garment includes a body defining a torso opening, a first leg opening, and a second leg opening. The body has a crotch portion and an interior surface. A pad retention feature is disposed in the crotch portion of the body and extends from the interior surface of the body. The pad retention feature includes a front assembly of diagonally-extending members and a rear assembly of diagonally extending members.
Abstract: A substrate having a flame retardant polymer chemically bonded to at least a portion of the substrate. The use of a substrate possessing at least a partially coated outer surface of a flame retardant polymer enables the manufacturing of polymer composites, containing the coated substrate, that possess very effective flame retardant performance while reducing the loading levels over conventional flame retardant additives.

Abstract: A polymeric matrix is melt processed with reactive monomers or oligomers that are miscible in the polymeric matrix. Upon initial melt processing and mixing, the reactive monomers or oligomers contained within the resulting polymeric matrix are cured with actinic radiation to form a polymeric alloy. The alloy of the polymeric matrix and the cured polymer possesses a non-Cequilibrium morphology and a surface energy that is effectively secured for a desired application and use after subsequent compounding.
Abstract: A high strength multilayered article is formed by bonding a composite layer to a foamed thermoplastic layer. At least one layer of the multilayered article possesses superior mechanical properties by admixing a polymeric matrix with naturally occurring inorganic materials in combination with an optional desiccant.
