  • Patent number: 10610057
Abstract: A method and system are provided that include features for preventing damage to smart components embedded within or attached to a handle of a cookware placed on a heating element of a cooktop appliance. In one aspect, if the sensed temperature of the handle exceeds a first temperature threshold, an alert can be presented to a user indicating that the handle is located in a hot environment and thus requires relocating. In another aspect, if the sensed temperature of the handle exceeds a second temperature threshold, the power output of one or more heating elements generating thermal energy can be reduced to prevent damage to the smart components embedded within or attached to the handle of the cookware.

  • Patent number: 10615495
Abstract: Technologies pertaining to the calibration of ultra-wide-band active-electronically-scanned arrays to compensate for transmit and receive mutual coupling between array elements and/or non-ideal isolated channels are described herein. A plurality of near-field measurements are taken by way of probe or probes that may be moved among a plurality of positions aligned with respective elements in the array. For each position of the probe, each of the elements of the array is stimulated to transmit or receive a calibration signal to or from the probe, respectively. Frequency-domain transfer functions are computed from the received signals by the probe or the element for each of the array elements in each of the positions of the probe. The inverse of the matrix of transfer functions comprise frequency-domain transmit and receive correction factors that are used to modify desired array inputs/outputs such that the modified signals correct for mutual coupling between elements in the array.

  • Patent number: 10616205
Abstract: A mobile computing device of a user transmits a digital certificate to a server computing device over a non-networking connection established with the server computing device. The digital certificate identifies the user, a particular server computing device, a validity period in which the digital certificate is valid, and a list of actions that the user is permitted to perform on the particular server computing device during the validity period. The server computing device authenticates the digital certificate, such as by determining whether a current time is within the validity period and whether the particular server computing device is the server computing device. When authentication is successful, the user can perform any action of the list of actions, including an action to power off the service computing device. The non-networking connection is such that the user is not provided a user account and a password to access the server computing device.

  • Patent number: 10613036
Abstract: The invention comprises a steam cleaning system that can rapidly handle multiple objects in an efficient and useful way. For example, objects used for shipping or moving food products in the food manufacturing or food services industries must either be new, clean and used once and then discarded, or re-used and thus cleaned to ensure no contamination is present. Layer pad objects or other separating surfaces are often used in these industries and often when these objects are used in stacking and pelletizing large shipments of food products, where the payer pad or other separating or container objects or surfaces help contain or maintain the integrity of the food products during shipment. In an important aspect of the invention, a plastic layer pad cleaning system is described. In other aspects, other surfaces, containers, or other separating objects used in shipping or distribution or food products are efficiently cleaned using a steam cleaning and conveying system.

  • Patent number: 10616053
Abstract: A reconfigurable triplexer that can support more frequency bands than a traditional triplexer is disclosed. For example, the reconfigurable triplexer can handle frequencies of several hundred megahertz up to 10 gigahertz. Further, certain implementations of the reconfigurable multiplexer can reduce or eliminate frequency dead zones that exist with traditional multiplexers. The reconfigurable triplexer includes a multi-stage filter bank capable of supporting a number of frequency bands and a bypass circuit that enables the triplexer to support a variety of sets of frequencies. For instance, unlike traditional triplexers, the reconfigurable triplexer can support both frequency bands with relatively narrow spacing and frequency bands with relatively wide spacing. Further, the inclusion of the bypass circuit enables the reduction or elimination of dead zones between supported frequencies.
