Abstract: A transmitter optical sub-assembly (TOSA) with low group delay (GD) performance over an operating frequency range of the TOSA is designed based on a synthesis of low pass filters. The low pass filters include a first stage low pass filter (LPF1) and a second stage low pass filter (LPF2) coupled to the LPF1 in a cascade form and a load impedance. The LPF1 and the LPF2 are configured to include inductance of stray components in the TOSA.

Abstract: The method and corresponding installation allow seawater to be biologically treated in order to purify it. The use of bioflocculation make it possible to avoid using exogenous coagulation and/or flocculation agents, allows a significant reduction in the clogging power of the water treated, allows an improvement of the yield and a reduction of the quantities of sludge produced to be treated then discharged.

Abstract: A paper sheet post-processing device includes a processing tray, an aligning member that aligns paper sheets on the processing tray, a swingable holder that supports the aligning member, a swinging mechanism that causes the holder to swing, and a control unit that controls the swinging mechanism. The swinging mechanism includes a rotation shaft inserted into a shaft insertion portion of the holder with play in a rotation direction. The control unit controls the rotation shaft to rotate and stop at a predetermined rotation angle position corresponding to a stack height of the sheets stacked on the processing tray, so that the holder is disposed at a contact position. At the contact position, the holder is allowed to swing in a retracting direction with respect to the rotation shaft within a predetermined play range. The play range is set to be larger in proportion to the stack height of the sheets.

Abstract: A system for analyzing a fluid includes an integrated fluid-electric cabinet having a fluid compartment and an electronic compartment. The fluid compartment and an electronic compartment are separated from one another by a partition wall. The partition wall includes opposed first and second surfaces. A flow cell assembly is disposed in the fluid compartment and is configured to be mounted on the first surface side of the partition wall. A probe head assembly is disposed in the electronic compartment and is mounted on the opposed second surface side of the partitioned wall. Both of the flow cell assembly and the probe head assembly are configured to be in electro-magnetic communication with one another for elemental analysis of the fluid such that the probe head assembly utilizes an X-ray source to analyze the fluid in a static mode or in flow mode through the flow cell assembly.

Abstract: An optical transceiver including a submount, a Mach-Zehnder Modulator (MZM), bonding wires, and a low pass filter type matching network is provided. The MZM includes an input port and an output port and disposed on the submount. The bonding wires are coupled to the submount and the MZM. The low pass filter type matching network is coupled to the bonding wires and is configured to absorb inductance of the bonding wires at a high frequency.

Abstract: A distributed ledger technology (DLT) network may include a plurality of participant nodes. The participant nodes may respectively validate a distributed ledger based on a consensus protocol. A blockchain export system may send, to a data receiver not included in the DLT network, a participant public key for a participant node of the DLT network. The blockchain export system may receive, from the data receiver, a request to share token data stored in a blockchain of the distributed ledger. The blockchain export system may generate a certification that the token data is stored on the blockchain. The certification may include a digital signature based on a participant private key paired to the participant public key. The blockchain system may transmit the certification to the data receiver. The data receiver may verify the certification based on the participant public key.

Abstract: An image sensor in an image reading device reads a document based on light from a lamp while a carriage is moving from one to the other side. An image data generation circuit generates read image data based on an analog image signal fed out from the image sensor. A controller senses the edge of the document in the read image data generated while the carriage is moving. On recognizing once or a plurality of times, while the carriage is moving, based on the result of sensing of the edge, that the reading of one placed sheet of the document is completed, the controller makes a moving mechanism stop the movement of the carriage and turns off the lamp.

The control device functions as an operation accepter, a controller, a charging processor, and a notifier. The notifier performs a processing for giving a first notice; the first notice is for asking a user whether or not to donate all of or part of a remaining money which is remaining, posterior to charging for a print job, in an inserted amount of money. Abstract: Systems, methods, and software for handling random access procedures. In one embodiment, an access network element that stores an MTC reservation pattern that defines at least one MTC-On interval where MTC is allowed, and defines at least one MTC-Off interval where MTC is prohibited. During an MTC-On interval, the access network element receives preambles for random access procedures from MTC devices, and performs the random access procedures for the MTC devices in response to the preambles. The access network element detects a transition from the MTC-On interval to a next MTC-Off interval, and determines whether the random access procedures for the MTC devices will complete before the transition. If not, the access network element modifies the MTC reservation pattern to expedite completion of the random access procedures.

Abstract: A system of an embodiment includes an analysis device that includes a first database for storing information for identifying a person and an object inside an image, performs, using the information, image analysis of footage taken by cameras installed in locations, associates an identified person, an object carried by the person, and a seat location with each other, determines, based on a user facial image and the user's seat location, whether a person associated with the seat location is the actual user, and outputs a verification result; and a device that includes a second data base for storing a seat, a facial image and identifying information of each user, transmits information on the user's seat and the facial image to the analysis device, receives the verification result from the analysis device, and transmits an alert to a predetermined point of contact.

Such a module can include a packaging substrate, one or more RF components mounted on the packaging substrate, a ground plane disposed within the packaging substrate, and a plurality of RF-shielding wirebonds disposed on the packaging substrate and electrically connected to the ground plane. The module can further include an overmold structure formed over the packaging substrate and dimensioned to substantially encapsulate the RF component(s) and the RF-shielding wirebonds. The overmold structure can define an upper surface that exposes upper portions of the RF-shielding wirebonds. The module can further include a conductive paint layer having silver flakes disposed on the upper surface of the overmold structure so that the conductive paint layer, the RF-shielding wirebonds, and the ground plane form an RF-shield for the RF component(s).
