  • Patent number: 9544732
Abstract: A cellular wireless communications system and method of generating reference signatures for use in geolocation are provided. The cellular wireless communications system identifies a sub-area within the coverage area of a cellular wireless communications system, the sub-area having a density of radio frequency measurements that is below a threshold value. A user of a subscriber mobile communication unit is influenced to enter the sub-area, the subscriber mobile communication unit being a subscriber to the cellular wireless communications system. The cellular wireless communications system obtains radio frequency measurements from the subscriber mobile communication unit in the sub-area, and generates reference signatures and/or location estimates from the radio frequency measurements. The reference signatures may be used to geolocate connections made by other mobile communication units within the sub-areas.

  • Patent number: 9539607
Abstract: A substrate is transported based on coordinates information indicating a receiving position of the substrate and a placement position of the substrate by a hand. If the substrate is shifted from a first position, the substrate is received by the hand while a center of the substrate is shifted from a normal position of the hand. The hand that holds the substrate is moved toward a second position. A plurality of portions at an outer periphery of the substrate are detected before the substrate is placed. A shift of the substrate with respect to the normal position of the hand is detected based on the detection result, and the coordinates information is corrected such that a shift between a position of the center of the substrate to be placed at the second position by the hand and the center of the second position is canceled.

  • Patent number: 9545023
Abstract: A cabinet for housing electronic plug-in cards has front and rear card baskets for inserting plug-in cards and first and second vertical backplanes. The front side of the first backplane faces the front of the cabinet and the front side of the second backplane faces the back of the cabinet. A distance piece connects the two backplanes and a counterbore is disposed in at least one of the rear sides of the two backplanes. The depth of the counterbore or the residual thicknesses of the backplane after drilling the counterbore is sized such that the distance between the front side of the second backplane and the front of the cabinet is a predetermined value. This ensures that the plug-in cards pushed onto the second backplane are completely received inside the rear card basket and the front plate of the plug-in cards ends flush with the rear card basket.

  • Patent number: 9544171
Abstract: An apparatus (UEA) may generate a zero-tail signal to be transmitted in an LTE/LTE-A cell, by introducing time domain samples with zero power or very low power in specific positions of a time symbol tail. The apparatus (UEA) may transmit the generated zero-tail signal to a base station (eNB), such that a first user terminal (UEA) is located in the cell farther away (e.g. on a cell edge) from the base station (eNB) than a second user terminal (UEB). Thus coexistence of signals sent by user terminals (UEA, UEB) located at different distances from the base station (eNB) within a same receiver window is enabled without inter-symbol interference. The generated zero-tail signal may also be transmitted from the first user terminal (UEA) or from the base station (eNB) in an outdoor system that is detectable by a neighboring indoor system.

  • Publication number: 20170001826
Abstract: A sheet post-processing apparatus includes a processing tray, a shift member, a discharge tray, a discharge roller pair, and a pressing member. The shift member moves a sheet loaded on the processing tray in a sheet width direction. The discharge roller pair discharges a sheet on the processing tray onto the discharge tray. The pressing member presses down a sheet discharged onto the discharge tray. The pressing member has an arm portion which rotates in the sheet conveyance direction about a rotation fulcrum, and a roller which is attached to the arm portion to be rotatable in the sheet width direction, and the pressing member is selectively disposed in a first position where the roller presses down the upstream-side end part of a sheet discharged onto the discharge tray, or in a second position where the roller contacts a lower surface of a sheet on the processing tray.
