Abstract: A system and a method for application transformation to cloud by conversion of an application source code to a cloud native code is provided. A first and a second transformation recommendation path is received and a set of remediation templates are applied based on the first and the second transformation recommendation paths where the set of remediation steps comprises pre-defined parameterized actions. The system comprises a microservices unit configured to optimize assessment and implementation of microservices code for multiple target cloud platforms by determining count of microservices anti-patterns in microservices code, wherein the anti-patterns represent a pattern of the microservices code and ascertaining current state of the microservices code by determining a maturity score. A set of repeatable steps associated with microservices code development are provided in bundled form for accelerated implementation of changes in the microservices code for deployment on the multiple target cloud platforms.

Abstract: A vehicle driving system includes a drive motor-generator connected to a first battery and a second battery via respective relays, a power receiving unit connected to the first battery and the second battery via respective relays and connected to an external power supply, and a controller. The controller is configured to, when the power receiving unit is connected to the external power supply, cause the first battery to be charged if the state of charge of the first battery is lower than a predetermined SOC and cause the second battery to be charged if the state of charge of the first battery is higher than or equal to the predetermined SOC.

Abstract: A device may receive security data identifying assets of an entity, security issues associated with the assets, and objectives associated with the assets and may utilize a data model to generate, based on the security data, asset related data identifying mapped sets of security data. The device may process a first portion of the asset related data, with a first model, to calculate an asset risk likelihood score for an asset of the assets and may process a second portion of the asset related data, with a second model, to calculate an asset criticality score for the asset. The device may process a third portion of the asset related data, with a third model, to calculate an asset control effectiveness score for the asset and may combine the scores to generate a security risk score for the asset. The device may provide the security risk score for display.

Abstract: A multi-layer database sizing stack may generate prescriptive tier requisition tokens for controlling requisition of database-compute resources at database-compute tiers. The input layer of the database sizing stack may obtain historical data. The threading layer may be used to flag occurrences of single threading application execution. The change layer may be used to determine potential for a step based on compute utilization type data and assert flags indicating the potential. The step layer may determine if potential steps may be taken based on operation-rate type data and flush type data. The requisition layer may generate a tier requisition token based on the provisional requisition tokens generated at other layers and/or finalization directives obtained at the requisition layer.

Abstract: An object is to implement shading correction processing of some regions of interest (ROIs) cut from a captured image. A transmission device includes: a processing unit that performs shading correction processing on image data of a region of interest (ROI) in a captured image on a basis of coordinate information of the ROI; and a transmission unit that sends the image data of the ROI subjected to the shading correction processing as payload data and sends ROI information as embedded data.

In some embodiments, a method for fabricating an RF switching device can include: providing a semiconductor substrate; forming a plurality of field-effect transistors (FETs) on the semiconductor substrate such that the FETs have a non-uniform distribution of a parameter; and connecting the FETs to form a stack, such that the non-uniform distribution results in the stack having a first voltage handling capacity that is greater than a second voltage handling capacity corresponding to a similar stack having a substantially uniform distribution of the parameter.

Abstract: An apparatus for changing a drilling tool for a drilling rig is described, where the drilling rig comprises a drill tower supporting a drill pipe. The apparatus for changing a drilling tool has a drilling tool changer assembly moveable between a storage position and an exchange position, and the drilling tool changer assembly supports a rotatable carousel assembly. The rotatable carousel assembly is capable of being removed from the drilling tool changer assembly and capable of replacement on the drilling tool changer in the same angular position with respect to the drill pipe as when removed. The rotatable carousel assembly has a plurality of bit adaptors for holding drilling tools and is selectively rotatable to bring a selected drilling tool into coaxial alignment with the drill pipe when the drilling tool changer assembly supporting the rotatable carousel assembly is moved into the exchange position.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mutant microorganism in which a glycerol catabolic pathway and a 1,3-PDO biosynthetic pathway are introduced into a microorganism incapable of using glycerol as a carbon source, and a method of producing 1,3-PDO using the same. According to the present disclosure, it is possible to produce 1,3-PDO while growing a mutant microorganism having 1,3-PDO production ability by using the inexpensive raw material glycerol as a single carbon source. Thus, the present disclosure is useful for the economical production of 1,3-PDO.

Abstract: The validity of engineering drawings is automatically determined based on compliance of the specifications of the engineering drawings with automatically generated rules. A document package including images of the engineering drawings and related documents is received. Rules codifying the requirements to be fulfilled by the engineering drawings are automatically generated from the related documents. Data such as specifications of the various parts of the entities in the engineering drawings are automatically extracted. The extracted data is analyzed to determine compliance with the rules to validate the engineering drawings.

Abstract: Systems and methods to pump fracturing fluid into a wellhead may include a gas turbine engine including a compressor turbine shaft connected to a compressor, and a power turbine output shaft connected to a power turbine. The compressor turbine shaft and the power turbine output shaft may be rotatable at different rotational speeds. The systems may also include a transmission including a transmission input shaft connected to the power turbine output shaft and a transmission output shaft connected to a hydraulic fracturing pump. The systems may also include a fracturing unit controller configured to control one or more of the rotational speeds of the compressor turbine shaft, the power turbine output shaft, or the transmission output shaft based at least in part on target signals and fluid flow signals indicative of one or more of pressure or flow rate associated with fracturing fluid pumped into the wellhead.
