Abstract: The present invention relates to an ester-based plasticizer composition and use thereof, wherein the composition can provide a synergistic effect in the improvement of thermal stability, such as migration resistance and heating loss, to contribute to the enhancement of properties of a molded product, and can provide a molded product with excellent thermal stability as well as mechanical properties due to excellent compatibility and processability with a polyvinyl chloride.

Abstract: A method and system for the offshore production of fuel includes an offshore marine platform on which is mounted a hydrogen production unit. The hydrogen production unit may produce hydrogen utilizing raw materials sourced adjacent the marine platform, including seawater and electricity from offshore wind turbines. The produced hydrogen may then be blended onboard the marine platform with liquefied natural gas delivered to the marine platform in order to produce a blended fuel comprised of the delivered natural gas and a portion of the produced hydrogen. The blended fuel may be subsequently liquified and transported away from the marine platform, or conveyed to a remote location via a seabed pipeline, or combusted by onboard combustion turbines that can in turn drive electric generators onboard the marine platform to produce electricity.
Abstract: A specimen retrieval system is disclosed. The specimen retrieval system includes a first hollow tube including one or more cutting elements on a first end of the first hollow tube, a first gear on a second end of the first hollow tube, a second hollow tube movable relative to the first hollow tube a second gear on a first end of the second hollow tube, a rack coupled to the first gear and the second gear, and a first actuator coupled to the rack. A second end of the second hollow tube may include cutting elements. The specimen retrieval system also includes a rack coupled to the first gear on the first hollow tube and the second gear on the second hollow tube. The specimen retrieval system may also include a geared tenaculum disposed inside the first hollow tube, and a second actuator coupled to the geared tenaculum.
Abstract: A maze-based switch generally having three functional blocks is disclosed. The first functional block handles communications by accepting an entered maze pattern from an external system controller and outputting the entered maze pattern (and optionally its directional complement) to the second functional block. The second functional block stores the maze pattern (and optionally its directional complement) to a permanent storage element and outputs the stored, entered maze pattern and its directional complement to a series of transistors in the third functional block. The third functional block is an electronic maze in which a correct maze pattern and its directional complement must be received by the transistors for the transistors to pass electrical power through the electronic maze to a connected element. The third functional block may alternatively be implemented with optical elements, optoelectronic elements, microelectromechanical elements, or elements formed by other microsystem technologies.

The isolated gate driver transmits across the isolation communication channel a serial word containing first drive strength information and simultaneously transmits gate information with the serial word across the isolation communication channel. The gate information indicates a state of a gate signal for a transistor coupled to the second portion of the isolated gate driver. A demodulator circuit demodulates a signal containing the gate information and the drive strength information transmitted across the isolation communication channel in the serial word. A gate signal output circuit coupled to the demodulator circuit supplies the gate signal based on the gate information with a drive strength of the gate signal being based on the drive strength information.
