Abstract: Hybrid additive featured plates used to form an overall microchannel heat exchanger and corresponding method of manufacture are disclosed. Various additive manufacturing (AM) techniques may be used to form walls defining microchannel features on a plate substrate. The manufacturing method is a hybrid process in that leverages both additive and conventional manufacturing techniques to minimize both cost and fabrication time.

The resultant processed data from each partitioned segment may be combined to form an aggregated set of results data. The parallel execution controller may identify model attributes of a data model and determine whether the data model is partitionable, based on the model attributes. If the data model is partitionable, the parallel execution controller may partition the data model, initiate a parallel execution of the individual partitioned segments on available network resources, and combine the corresponding results data into an aggregated set of results data.

In some embodiments, the spoken-word microphone is positioned in a low-pass filter tune pipe and is combined with a separate spoken-word microphone in a tuned microphone array so as to filter out frequencies not associated with the human voice. The two signals are magnitude matched, and the first signal is subtracted from the second to generate an improved voice signal for a voice recognition system.

Abstract: A magnetic memory element has a Ru hard mask layer. The use of Ru advantageously allows for closer spacing of adjacent magnetic memory elements leading to increased data density. In addition, the use of Ru as a hard mask reduces parasitic electrical resistance by virtue of the fact that Ru does not oxidize in ordinary manufacturing environments. The magnetic memory element can be formed by depositing a plurality of memory element layers, depositing a Ru hard mask layer, depositing a RIEable layer over the Ru hard mask layer, and forming a photoresist mask over the hard mask layer. A reactive ion etching can be performed to transfer the image of the photoresist mask onto the RIEable layer to form a RIEable mask. An ion etching can then be performed to transfer the image of the RIAable mask onto the underlying Ru hard mask and underlying memory element layers.
