Abstract: A washing machine appliance includes a sump for collecting wash fluid, a water supply valve for supplying the wash fluid during a fill cycle, and a water level detection system including a pressure sensor for measuring sump pressures/fill levels. A controller is configured for operating the supply valve to fill the sump until a target volume is reached and obtaining a fill volume using the water level detection system. The controller determines that a fault condition exists based on a difference between the target volume and the fill volume, e.g., such as when the difference exceeds a predetermined fault threshold, and initiates a fault abatement process in response to determining that the fault condition exists.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure leverage distributed ledger technology (DLT) to provide decentralized control of cooperative tasks performed by a plurality of robots. Characteristics of the plurality of robots may be stored in a distribute ledger, which may be provided by a blockchain or a distributed database system. When a service request is received, a set of tasks may be identified for providing the requested service and the robot characteristics recorded to the distributed ledger may be used to identify a list of candidate robots possessing characteristics corresponding to the set of tasks may be identified. A smart contract may be utilized to select one or more candidate robots for performing the task and to verify the selected robot(s) successfully completed the task. State information associated with operation of the selected robot(s) may be monitored to verify task completion.

Abstract: A printing system includes a printing device having a digital front end (DFE) and at least one client device that sends print jobs to the printing device. The DFE stores a device capability file that sets forth device and print options available for the printing device. The print options include a priority value, an option type, a grouping option, a print option icon, and a preview overlay graphic. A copy of the device capability file is made available to a client application on the client device. The client application retrieves all the print information from the device capability file. The client application also presents and previews the print options using the appropriate preview graphic overlay.
Abstract: A system and associated methodology manages localization data. According to one embodiment of the present invention a primary set of data associated with one or more specific locations is imported and matched to a predefined format. Thereafter external, secondary, data associated with each of the localities listed in the primary data set is collected from a plurality of third party location service providers. With the collected secondary data matched to the same predefined format a comparison is made between the plurality of secondary data sets and the primary data set. Differences between the data sets are identified and the primary data set modified as necessary. Thereafter, normalized data from the modified primary data set is exported to the third party location service providers to enhance consistency and reliable of locational data.

Abstract: In a solid-state image sensor that detects an address event, the detection sensitivity for the address event is controlled to an appropriate value. The solid-state image sensor includes a pixel array unit and a control unit. In the solid-state image sensor, multiple pixel circuits are arranged in the pixel array unit, each detecting a change in luminance of incident light occurring outside a predetermined dead band as the address event. The control unit controls the width of the dead band according to the number of times the address event is detected in the pixel array unit within a fixed unit cycle.

Abstract: It is intended to promote enhancement of performance of acquiring a depth image. A depth image acquiring apparatus includes a light emitting diode, a TOF sensor, and a filter. The light emitting diode irradiates modulated light toward a detection area becoming an area in which a depth image is to be acquired to detect a distance. The TOF sensor receives incident light into which the light irradiated from the light emitting diode is reflected by an object lying in the detection area to become, thereby outputting a signal used to produce the depth image. The filter passes more light having a wavelength in a predetermined pass bandwidth than light having a wavelength in a pass bandwidth other than the predetermined pass bandwidth of the light made incident toward the TOF sensor. In this case, at least one of the light emitting diode, the TOF sensor, or arrangement of the filter is controlled in accordance with a temperature of the light emitting diode or the TOF sensor.
