  • Patent number: 6728553
Abstract: A subscriber identity module makes it possible to integrate different smart card functions with the SIM card used in a mobile station. The invention enables new diversified service combinations to be implemented so as to allow them to be utilized via a data communication device, such as a mobile station. A feature characteristic of these service combinations is that a part of the series of actions is carried out in a system and/or application external to the data communication system and the data communication device in addition to or instead of wireless communication between the mobile station and the data communication system/application.

  • Patent number: 6301348
Abstract: A method for changing a direction of establishing a telecommunication connection between a first subscriber and second subscriber. • Patent number: 6134239
Abstract: A method for managing a buffer in a data network in which buffering is performed impartially for all connections. Data is transferred in frames each made up of a plurality of data cells. The data is buffered in a node point in the network in order to adapt the data network capacity to correspond to the capacity required by the transferable data. In a data overload situation at the buffer (or when the overload limit is about to be exceeded), the number of cells to be buffered and directed to the node point are predeterminately restricted.

  • Patent number: 5898918
Abstract: A method for classifying calls placed from a mobile station by a subscriber to facilitate creation of an invoice record. When placing a call from the mobile station, the subscriber dials a predetermined prefix associated with a particular invoice code to identify the call as belonging to a particular invoice cost group that corresponds to the invoice code. When the invoice record is generated, all calls for which prefixes were dialed and that were placed by the subscriber from the mobile station, are automatically placed in appropriate invoice cost groups in accordance with the invoice codes of the prefixes.
