Abstract: A gauge assembly that is utilized for wired-pipe telemetry, has been developed where the gauge assembly includes: a trigger, a push rod, wherein the rod is operatively coupled with the trigger, a bearing housing assembly, wherein the bearing housing assembly is operatively coupled with the push rod, an indicator, wherein the indicator is operatively coupled with the push rod, a base plate assembly, and a sensor device, stylus or combination thereof that is both operatively coupled with the push rod and the indicator. Methods of use are also disclosed.
