Abstract: An information processing apparatus has login information acquisition means for acquiring a plurality of pieces of login information with user IDs for identifying users related with terminal IDs for identifying terminals for use by the users; terminal ID registration means for registering the acquired login information by relating each of the user IDs with the plurality of terminal IDs; delivery information generation means for generating different pieces of delivery information to be delivered to each terminal that are identified by the plurality of terminal IDs for each of the user IDs; and delivery means for delivering the generated different pieces of delivery information to the each terminals.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer programs for simulating the source of sound are provided. One method includes operations for determining a location in space of the head of a user utilizing face recognition of images of the user. Further, the method includes an operation for determining a sound for two speakers, and an operation for determining an emanating location in space for the sound, each speaker being associated with one ear of the user. The acoustic signals for each speaker are established based on the location in space of the head, the sound, the emanating location in space, and the auditory characteristics of the user. In addition, the acoustic signals are transmitted to the two speakers. When the acoustic signals are played by the two speakers, the acoustic signals simulate that the sound originated at the emanating location in space.

The SSID setting unit sets up an SSID to include an application ID uniquely defined for an application to be executed. For example, when an application A is executed, the SSID is set up to include “TITLE_A”. When an application B is executed, the SSID is set up to include “TITLE_B”. The channel setting unit sets up a communication channel based on the SSID such that the communication channel used in the BSSs do not overlap each other as much as possible.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for detecting inputs for a computing device. One method includes an operation for receiving images for an area where the hand of a user is situated, and an operation for analyzing the received images to determine the location and the color of a finger of the user. Further, a change in the color of the finger is detected, where the change in the color is caused by contact of the finger with a physical object. In other operation, the method determines the location of the finger when the color change was detected. The determined location is associated with an input for the computing device.

One or plural video distribution devices each give, to a frame image included in a distribution video to be distributed to a video reproduction device, timing information indicating the generation timing of this frame image, and distribute the distribution video given this timing information. The video reproduction device receives plural distribution videos distributed from the one or plural video distribution devices and reproduces the received plural distribution videos in synchronization based on the timing information included in each of the plural distribution videos.

A panoramic image storage section stores captured images having different exposure values captured by the imaging units whose exposure values have been set by the exposure setting section. An HDR synthesis section synthesizes the captured images having different exposure values so as to generate a captured image having an adjusted dynamic range.

Abstract: Emotion recognition may be implemented on an input window of sound. One or more auditory attention features may be extracted from an auditory spectrum for the window using one or more two-dimensional spectro-temporal receptive filters. One or more feature maps corresponding to the one or more auditory attention features may be generated. Auditory gist features may be extracted from feature maps, and the auditory gist features may be analyzed to determine one or more emotion classes corresponding to the input window of sound. In addition, a bottom-up auditory attention model may be used to select emotionally salient parts of speech and execute emotion recognition only on the salient parts of speech while ignoring the rest of the speech signal.
