The transmission data generator generates transmission data containing both the encrypted difference data generated by the encryption unit and the electronic signature of the second data set as generated by the electronic signature generator.

A pyramid filter unit converts the unprocessed image into a plurality of reduced images whose resolutions vary in stages. An image transmission unit is provided with a selection unit for selecting a part of the unprocessed image as a specific part and also selecting any one of the plurality of reduced images as a specified reduced image. The specific part of the unprocessed image and the specified reduced image that have been selected are transmitted to a host terminal by a communication unit for a further image process.

Abstract: Provided is a content protection system, in which: a user terminal judges, when a content is to be reproduced or executed, whether or not the user terminal has a usage right of the content, and makes, if it is judged that the user terminal does not have the usage right of the content, a request to a license management apparatus to acquire the usage right of the content; the license management apparatus generates, when the request to acquire the usage right is received from the user terminal, license information containing information on an expiration date that is set based on a timing when the request is received, and transmits the generated license information to the user terminal; and the user terminal judges that the user terminal has the usage right of the content until the expiration date indicated by the license information received from the license management apparatus arrives.

Abstract: A task management system includes a game terminal and a server. The game terminal acknowledges user designation of whether positional information indicating a position arbitrarily designated by a user on a map of a scale displayed on the terminal or positional information indicating the current position of the terminal should be added to data that should be stored in the server along with the positional information. The game terminal transmits the data to which user designated positional information is added to the server. The server stores the data transmitted from the game terminal along with the positional information.

Abstract: A parallelization permission and prohibition management unit of a processor manages the permission or prohibition of the parallelization for each combination of partial spaces in cooperation with another parallelization permission and prohibition management unit of a different processor. Specifically, when any given object is present across the boundary between a first partial space and a second partial space, the parallelization is prohibited between the collision process to be performed by any given processor on the virtual objects in the first partial space and the collision process to be performed by another processor on the virtual object in the second partial space.

Abstract: Requestors acquire tokens before issuing access requests to a memory controller. The access requests issued are accumulated in a command queue of the memory controller. When the amount of access requests accumulated in the command queue is smaller than or equal to a first threshold, or in level 0, tokens are generated at a rate equivalent to 200% of a bus bandwidth. If the amount of accumulation is greater than the first threshold and is smaller than or equal to a second threshold, i.e., in level 1, tokens are generated at a rate equivalent to the bus bandwidth. If the amount of accumulation exceeds the second threshold, the token generation is stopped.

Abstract: An emulation technique adjusts the execution timing of instructions included in an application to be emulated. An emulator executes an instruction stream consisting of a plurality of instructions included in the application for an apparatus to be emulated to perform the object AP. This emulator performs successively the instructions included in the instruction stream at a predetermined period, and includes a speed controller for adjusting the emulation speed by intermittently inserting a wait into the instruction stream to emulate execution of the instruction stream. Preferably, this emulator includes a clock generator (145), in which the speed controller counts the clock input from the clock generator (145).

This successfully provides an image based on a first image processing (?-blending, for example) depending on coefficients of semi-transparency in a natural and unfailing manner without using a technique such as Z sorting.

Abstract: A computer architecture and programming model for high speed processing over broadband networks are provided. The architecture employs a consistent modular structure, a common computing module and uniform software cells. The common computing module includes a control processor, a plurality of processing units, a plurality of local memories from which the processing units process programs, a direct memory access controller and a shared main memory. A synchronized system and method for the coordinated reading and writing of data to and from the shared main memory by the processing units also are provided. A hardware sandbox structure is provided for security against the corruption of data among the programs being processed by the processing units. The uniform software cells contain both data and applications and are structured for processing by any of the processors of the network. Each software cell is uniquely identified on the network.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to, in the music data processing apparatus, reduce the complex processings in each of the computing units and access to the shared region of the main memory unit and to generate more efficiently the music data.
