Abstract: An IEEE 802.11 protocol in which the necessity and issues surrounding separately setting up SCS and reserving target wait time (R-TWT) are eliminated. In the present disclosure new data structures and processes are performed in which a station (STA) can request scheduling R-TWT for the traffic transmission of a stream classification service (SCS) during the setup procedure of that SCS. In using the teachings of the present disclosure, a STA can exchange a TWT setup frame on one link to schedule R-TWT on multiple links.

Abstract: The present technology relates to an encoding device and method, a decoding device and method, and a program capable of realizing sense-of-distance control based on intention of a content creator. The encoding device includes: an object encoding unit that encodes audio data of an object; a metadata encoding unit that encodes metadata including position information of the object; a sense-of-distance control information determination unit that determines sense-of-distance control information for sense-of-distance control processing to be performed on the audio data; a sense-of-distance control information encoding unit that encodes the sense-of-distance control information; and a multiplexer that multiplexes the coded audio data, the coded metadata, and the coded sense-of-distance control information to generate coded data. The present technology can be applied to a content reproduction system.
Abstract: A method of operating a device in a wireless network comprising transmitting a first uplink signal comprising control information in a set of uplink resources, transmitting a second uplink signal, wherein the second uplink signal is to be transmitted a plurality of times, each of the plurality of transmissions of the second uplink signal being a repetition of the second uplink signal, wherein each repetition of the second uplink signal is to be transmitted in a different set of uplink resources to the other repetitions of the second uplink signal, determining that the resources of the first uplink signal at least partially overlap in time with the resources of at least one of the repetitions of the second uplink signal, multiplexing the control information into the resources of a selected one or more of the repetitions of the second uplink signal, and transmitting the multiplexed signal to the wireless network.
Abstract: There is provided an information processing apparatus including a display control section that controls a second display device present in a second space. The second display device displays a first captured image obtained by imaging at least one or more first users present in a first space. The display control section superimposes and displays a second user object on the first captured image in accordance with line-of-sight relevant information of each of the first users. The second user object corresponds to each of at least one or more second users present in the second space. This makes it possible to achieve more realistic communication.

The robot monitors the user and recognizes body language and gesture commands, as well as voice commands. The robot communicates with the user, the TV, and other devices. It may include environment sensors and health status sensors. It acts as a user companion by answering queries, executing commands, and issuing reminders. It may monitor to determine if the user is well. The robot may monitor objects of interest, their placement and their status. When necessary, it communicates with the user.

Abstract: Reduction in power consumption of a video camera and a remote controller that displays a captured image of the video camera and improvement of operability are achieved. In a system including the video camera and the remote controller that displays a captured image of the video camera, when a period in which there is no operation on the operation unit of the remote controller reaches a first prescribed time, transmission of the captured image from the video camera to the remote controller via Wi-Fi communication and displaying processing on a display unit of the remote controller are stopped. Further, when a period in which there is no operation on the operation unit of the remote controller reaches a second prescribed time, the Wi-Fi communication is interrupted. Valid operation unit information in each mode is displayed on the display unit of the remote controller.

When a switching portion at which a sequence of video streams to be transmitted is switched from a first sequence to a second sequence having a different frame rate from the first sequence is provided, display control information is inserted into at least encoded image data of a picture corresponding to the switching portion or a packet containing the encoded image data. A reception side performs display control of pictures using the display control information and implements an excellent display.

Abstract: A method is performed by a wireless communications device of transmitting measurement reports to an infrastructure equipment. The method comprises receiving signals transmitted by the infrastructure equipment, measuring a characteristic associated with the received signals, and selecting an index value from one of a plurality of index values. Abstract: The invalid pixel detection unit 32 detects an invalid pixel from a non-polarized image and a plurality of polarized images for different polarization directions obtained by performing image pickup using the polarization image pickup unit 20. For example, the invalid pixel detection unit 32 detects a saturated pixel having a pixel value larger than a preset saturation detection threshold and a black-crushed pixel having a pixel value smaller than a preset black crushing detection threshold as invalid pixels from a non-polarized image. The polarization information generation unit 33 performs processing of generating polarization information on the basis of the non-polarized image and polarized images and switches the processing of generating the polarization information depending on the detection result of the invalid pixels in the invalid pixel detection unit 32, so as to generate the polarization information without using the invalid pixels. Correct polarization information can be acquired.
