Patent number: 11197939Abstract: The invention relates to a method for cleaning dissolution vessels and for the subsequent dosing of a dissolution media, and to mobile modular cleaning and dosing equipment for the implementation of said method. According to said method, injected water steam is used for the cleaning and is subsequently aspirated, together with the residues of the dissolution, and the vessel is then refilled with the desired quantity of a new dissolution media. The mobile modular cleaning and dosing equipment allows the cleaning and dosing to be carried out in situ without having to remove the dissolution vessels from the equipment or site where the dissolution tests are carried out, using self-sufficient modular equipment, and a novel steam supply line is used for the cleaning, which sprays the steam against the bottom of the vessel and the inner side walls.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2014Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: Sotax AGInventor: Manuel Borrego Castro

Patent number: 10184874Abstract: An apparatus (1) for dissolution testing comprises a tank (2) having a circular cylindrical outer body portion (21) with a transparent side wall and a circular cylindrical inner body portion (22) with a transparent side wall, wherein the inner body portion (22) is coaxially arranged with respect to the outer body portion (21) such that an outer interior (23) having a ring-shaped cross section is defined between the outer body portion (21) and the inner body portion (22) and an inner interior (24) having a circular cross section is defined inside the inner body portion. The apparatus (1) further comprises a plurality of dissolution vessels (4) arranged in the outer interior (23) of the tank and a heater assembly being arranged to heat a test media in the vessels (4) to a predefined temperature. The apparatus (1) according to the invention allows for a comparably precise monitoring of vessels (4) inside the tank (2) and/or an appropriate manipulation of the vessels (4) inside the tank (2).Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2014Date of Patent: January 22, 2019Assignee: Sotax AGInventors: Gilles Kalbermatten, Rolf Benz

Patent number: 6308584Abstract: The invention relates to a process for introducing a particulate material, for example pellets, granules or powder, into a liquid, and a cartridge and a device for carrying out this process. The material is introduced into a cartridge having a sleeve, an axis and a base arranged in the interior of the sleeve and displaceable along the axis away from a stop. Thereafter, the cartridge, in a position in which its axis is approximately perpendicular and the base rests against the stop under its own weight, is allowed to fall into the liquid, the cartridge being guided by a guide tube. On immersion in the liquid, the base is displaced upward away from the stop by the liquid, with the result that the material is ejected at least for the most part from the cartridge.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2000Date of Patent: October 30, 2001Assignee: Sotax AGInventor: Rolf Martin Benz

Patent number: 5261840Abstract: The contact element has at least two parallel strips and a row of webs which are arranged between said strips, are of one piece with these and are twisted with respect to them and springy and have two constricted parts. Each web has two web edges, a first web edge having a convex part and the other, second web edge having a concave part, the convex part and concave part being located between the two constricted parts. When the webs are in the untwisted state, each convex part not arranged at the end of the web row projects into the concave part of the adjacent web. This enables the webs to compensate, by means of a spring travel, a large tolerance interval of the distance between two contact surfaces to be electrically conductively connected to one another by the contact element, the contact element simultaneously having a relatively large number of webs per length unit of the web row and being capable of being produced in an economical manner.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 1992Date of Patent: November 16, 1993Assignee: Sotax AGInventor: Reinhard Benz

Patent number: 4456325Abstract: There is disclosed an electrical connection device for producing an electrically conductive connection between two contact bodies, the device comprising resilient means of a material having good spring properties and a plurality of plate-shaped conductor members of a material with good electrical conductivity. The resilient means may consist of a central strip and a plurality of tongues arranged in pairs and protruding from both sides of the strip. Each conductor member is provided at one of its wide sides, namely its base surface, with a cross-shaped recess receiving part of the resilient element. The resilient element and conductor members are connected together at the free ends of the tongues, the conductor members being longer and wider in plan than the tongues. The conductor members therefore cover a relatively large part of the contact area covered by the device as a whole.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 1983Date of Patent: June 26, 1984Assignee: Sotax AGInventor: Reinhard Benz
