    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a rolling suitcase that is pulled depthwise rather than breadthwise, and incorporates a split handle that separates when the suitcase is to be opened. The split handle may incorporate a locking mechanism that includes a mechanical, magnetic, or other connector for locking and releasing the split handle halves. The suitcase maximizes internal volume by the use of inset wheels and handle extensions, and also provides for protections against many common types of breakage.
